Stand your ground in the face of the freeze.
When winter's getting all up in your grill, give it the ol' one-two with the Burton Men's AK 2L Swash Gore-Tex Jacket. With materials designed to withstand the gnarliest storms and most rugged terrain, a functional fit for unrestricted mobility, and synthetic insulation to help you brave sub-zero temps, the Swash is your best weapon against the smack-talk of Old Man Winter.
Every Joe Schmo knows the value of Gore-Tex: fully waterproof, with the ability to breathe so you stay dry from the inside as well as from the outside. The Swash uses a two-layer Gore-Tex membrane, outfitted with fully taped seams to prevent moisture from seeping in through the cracks. There's 60g Primaloft synthetic insulation in the upper back and front body to keep your core toasty without overheating the rest of your body, while vented chest pockets allow in cooling airflow when you're hiking for turns or hot-lapping the park.
The Swash rocks Burton's signature AK fit, with engineered articulation that allows for total freedom of movement and room for layering. Pull down the Powder Gasket cuffs and snap the removable stretch powder skirt to compatible pants for a bombproof snow suit when things get stupidly deep, and go show January that you're not scared of nothin'.

Not Your Average Black Jacket
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I've worn this jacket in all conditions and on various trips snowmobiling/backcountry. The jacket can be used by itself because of the Primaloft insulation, but it also makes for a great shell over an insulator.
Got stuck on the hill in in the rain? No problem at all for this jacket, the fully taped seams and Gore-Tex fabric will keep you dry for hours.
I wear Burton AK religiously, feel free to contact with any Burton AK Outerwear questions.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: XL
I love the fit of this jacket! I had AK Stagger jackets for years and loved them but they always seemed jus ta bit short for me. The XXL added more tent than length, so I stuck with the XL. This jacket now has just that little bit of added length, but nothing crazy. Not sure if this was true last year as well (when it went from the Stagger to the Swash). As always, Burton AK GoreTex will keep you bonedry and is the best out there. Once you go to GoreTex, it's hard to go back.
Well made, odd details, long fit
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: Small
Just received this jacket in a size small. I'm 5'6" 150#. It's too big and the sleeves are just extremely long. I'm not talking like a few inches, but a solid 5" + too long. Body length and width is about average for a snowboard jacket, which is to say, roomy. If you're of slim to medium build and about 6' tall, then a small would fit pretty nicely. But for shorter, athletic builds like me... skip it unless you like the baggy look. Another detail is the collar is cut weird. Burton has integrated the hood behind and outside the collar probably for side visibility purposes, but this makes it look like you have wide 70's lapels when not zipped up all the way. Aside from that it's made very well, the color is cool, and the insulation will allow you to skip a layer.
