Soft, great fit and awesome color gaiter

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I use this gaiter every day when I ride my motorcycle. It is super soft and fits really well. Not too tight and not too loose. I love the length. I can tuck it in my jacket and in to my helmet to keep unwanted critters out. The color is awesome. I have washed it once already and it is holding up well.

Super-Charged Gaiter

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I wouldn't be caught without one in my gear bag--ever. This little gaiter (like your favorite leather boots) is capable of doing many things, not the least, protecting your precious head and neck, and consequently, your core warmth. It's thin, it's stretchy, it's a wind buffer, it holds your own body heat in and still lets the moisture escape. It's a great "balaclava" that fits tidily under any helmet and extends down the neck and into your jacket while protecting nose and chin. It's hard to imagine that a thin little accessory such as this can do such a good job. The only conditions I feel I can use a heavier gaiter is when I've got the speed in my legs and the temps are dropping ridiculously low, then I may reach for fleecier coverage just as long as I don't sacrifice that bit of head and neck coverage that the Buff is oh so good at.

All in one!

I love buffs!
I have too many i think. However they are endlessly useful! From the usual scarf, to the tougher to accomplish beanie, buffs are so useful! They help keep your dome warm, sweat off your brow, and under special circumstances, can be worn as a shirt!

Thank you buff for keeping my face protected from the biting wind and snow that I keep finding myself in.

Great for skiing in 30s

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I needed a ski neck gaiter that was good for warmer temps, and this worked perfectly. Good coverage and breathability, not too loose or tight. Used it when too warm for my arcteryx rho lightweight gaiter. My friend loved is as well and got one for herself

Unbelievable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Such a simple product - a tubular piece of fabric - fills so many needs. It's perfect under a bike helmet, because adds virtually no bulk. Awesome as a neckband and headband, if you're cold, just pull it over your head.

Does the job.

It's not going to keep you warm when it's freezing outside. Used it outside at work during a windy snow, and it helped keeping the icy pellets from stinging my face and neck. It stayed in place fine without goggles to hold it up. The fabric is very breathable and dried fast.

Keeps your face warm

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This buff worked great when I went skiing to keep my face warm. However I wore it the other day when I went snowshoeing and it wouldn't stay on my face. I think this works best when you can tuck it under your goggles. I like that it is lightweight and it seems to do to a good job of staying dry when I'm breathing into it.

Love it, could be better though.

Same problem as the Outdoor Tech Yowie Facemask. Works great until it hits below 20, then my breath freezes on the mask and it's not so great. Still better than everything else I've used though. I'm going to try the merino wool Buff for the colder temps.

I love the Buff!

The Buff is my go-to head piece year-round. It's tubular shape made of thin, stretchy, seamless synthetic fabric hugs your head and works to wick any sweat while keeping sun and wind at bay. I use my buff in the summer as a head band while running or under my helmet on the bike. In the fall it works well as a hat and in the winter, as a balaclava, it provides just the right amount of warmth.

Lightweight and totally multi-functional, a must have for any outdoor buff!
