Brunton created the Gentleman's Pocket Compass to pay tribute to history's explorers—the ones who went where maps did not yet cover. This fully functioning milled aluminum compass is modeled after the original D.W. Brunton design. Remember all those stories your father and grandfather told you about back-in-their-day backpacking trips? Well, the Gentleman's Pocket Compass is a perfect way to say thanks.

Bottom Line: Classic.

If you just need a compass to see where you should hide your tent in the trees for the next morning to avoid that hot arse orb that rises every morning in the west then this is perfect for you.....classic look & it has a signal mirror on the other side of the cover, it's cool but if you need more capabilities this isn't the compass for you, if you just want to look knowledgeable in front of the scouts then you'll love it!

I dont see why not, you would have to have it done locally though. Check the Brunton website to see if they engrave them.
