If you count ounces when you backpack and prefer to eat with chopsticks, then Brunton had you in mind when it made the Flip Sticks. The Brunton Flip Sticks chopsticks are made of durable, lightweight bamboo attached to metal holders. These chopsticks flip closed, so they not only weigh a mere 1.6 ounces in your pack, but they also take up less room than the toothbrush you sawed the end off of to save on weight.

okay...i thought these might be funny little gimicy but they are so sweet! everytime i pull them out i am happy! fit in the funniest little places and always fun to have.

They are good, they may even be very good, but as I said not great. like great great! The middle part is heavy and makes it awkward at first to use. Top-heavy and slightly cumbersome. They are neat though. I prefer Snow Peak's however.

Very neat design. The handle folds down, so you won't lose it. There is a slide on the metal handle that you can adjust into place so the actual chopstick will stay in place. Since the handle is flat, versus a normal chopstick being round or square all the way around, it takes some practice and getting used to gripping it. However, I love how light and for using to mix eggs for scrambled eggs without worrying about scratching up my pans is great. I'm Asian, so cooking with chopsticks is second nature to me and feel naked without a set.
