The Brunton Canister Stove Stand adds stability to your canister stove for rocky campsites or cooking with larger pots. It also places the canister safely away from the stove’s heat and allows you to use a wind screen in blustery conditions.

Bottom Line: A stable base for your screw-on canister stove.

Good Idea But Needs Inprovement

The +'s are this device gives you the ability to turn your regular canister stove into a remote which is a nice option especially when windy conditions prevail & a windscreen becomes necessary. You can't do this safely when the stove is on top. Also the fuel is away from the flame & heat source. The canister stove stand/adapter is a fairly lightweight option to other remote setups. Dual fuel controls can go either way.

The -'s are this device will not work with all stoves. For example, the diameter of the bottom fuel tube (male part) on the Coleman F1 series stoves is too large & will not penetrate the orifice (female part) in the threaded valve housing. All my other stoves do mate & work just fine. The legs are loose & need to form a better triangular position. This could possibly cause an imbalanced situation where the pot & contents fall off the supports.

Is it at all possible to remove the top connector, which the stove connects to? I'm looking to attach a modified propane burner to a stand like this, so I'm wondering if that connector could be replaced.

Fits surprisingly well into a Snow Peak Trek 900 pot, along with an 8oz canister and Snow Peak Litemax stove.

good but problems

I have several gas canister stoves and I wanted to use some off the canister and solidly supported by the tripod that this gadget offers.
Worked great for about 1/2 hour then the flame started to dwindle and eventually shut down.
No gas was coming to the stove.
Disassembled the unit in the field (need some tools), cleaned and tried again.
Worked for a few minutes and shut down again.
At home I have removed the "O" rings between the hose and the valve (both ends), removed the safety valve (redundant since the canister has one) and reassembled the unit sealing the threads with white plumber's tape (PTFE).
I am finally "cooking with gas" (the stove now works at full blast, if needed)
