Brooks took some cues from rock-climbing shoes when it made the PureGrit 3 Men's Running Shoe, but don't worry, things didn't get too crazy. The rock-inspired changes are primarily in the sole, which uses a soft and sticky rubber for excellent flexibility and grip, along with 3D Hex lugs for traction and Omega Flex Grooves for easy forefoot roll. Brooks' BioMoGo DNA midsole provides comfortable lightweight cushioning on rough trails, while the 4mm drop and rounded heel promotes a natural stride, and the Nav band keeps your foot from slopping around when the going gets tricky.
