As early as 1936, skiers enjoyed riding the rope tow up and schussing down the slopes at Brighton Ski Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Today, Brighton has seven lifts, including three high-speed quads, to access its trails, halfpipe, and out-of-bounds terrain. Brighton has 1,050 acres of rolling terrain where 500 inches fall annually to ensure visitors and locals alike can make plenty of turns in the Greatest Snow on Earth. Year after year, locals recognize Brighton Ski Resort for having the most family-friendly terrain and for being the best resort value in Utah. Brighton also brags the most acres of night riding in the state, expansive snowmaking and grooming, and a killer terrain park. Buy your Brighton lift vouchers for adult lift tickets, redeemable at the ticket window, from us and save money.

Bottom Line: Delve into powder, ride the halfpipe, or take the family to learn how to ski or board at Brighton Ski Resort.

Good selection of terrain for the price. The snow is amazing there. Don't forget they do night skiing too, which is the best around.

May favorite place in the world!

This is my favorite place in the entire world! Brighton feels like home to me. They created this amazing atmosphere that is unlike other ski resorts. It is where the locals go, it is where the families go. I worked at Brighton for years and love it so much! It has every type of terrain anyone could want. Easiest to hardest, groomers to cliff lines. It gets amazing snowfall and on a powder day you want to be first in line at the Millicent lift to hit the milli bowl. It has a great park, half pipe that in full bloom has 16 ft walls and is 400 feet long. This is the best place in the world!!

So let Brighton brighten your day!

park rat

This year it seems like Brighton has put a little more money and effort in making their park better. But if your lookin' for big jumps and super rails, Park City seems to have everyone around here beat. O yeah, they have powder here and there too, if your into that.

go west, my friend.

Every season Brighton pushes to open first, so I get a day or so in there, and I always want to jump ship and ski Brighton all season. The backcountry access, the flair-bears killing it in the parks and fun runs off virtually every lift (especially Great Western) make it an awesome place to ride, or ski.

the underdog

Brighton seems like the underdog in Salt Lake when you have the infamous likes of Snowbird and Alta right next door, but Brighton is one of my favorite places to ski! You will spend FAR less time standing in line when you go to Brighton, and much more time on the snow. They also have everything from fun groomers to tons of tree skiing to a super good terrain park (and definitely some sweet pow stashes).
