The X-Hale Trail Diva Sock—all comfort and no drama.

The Bridgedale Women's X-Hale Trail Diva Sock demands comfortable, breathable performance on the trail—just make sure her dressing room meets expectations, otherwise she's liable to flip out and shave off her hair or do something rash. Bridgedale combined four different materials in the Trial Diva Sock: nylon provides lightweight resiliency, Merino feels great against the skin and manages moisture, Endurofil promises longevity, and the touch of Lycra creates a comfortable, foot-hugging fit. Slip into this extremely breathable sock whether an after-work jog or a half-day trail assault finds its way onto your daily hit list. Bridgedale added padding at the forefoot and the heel for all-day cushioning comfort and left the top of the foot light and breathable so you don't end up overheating mid-way through your run.

When I received this pair one had a hole in the toe seam (looks like the machine failed to grab both sides of the fabric). I figured I'd just exchange it for a non-defective pair but upon checking out "How Do I Return Or Exchange An Order?" step #2 states, "When you create the RMA, you will have the ability to print a pre-paid UPS return label for $6.99. The $6.99 will be deducted from your refund on the item(s) that you have returned." So...for a pair of socks that costs $10.93 ($10.93-$6.99=$3.94)it looks like I just have to suck it up and get out the old sewing kit. :(

Update: Backcountry emailed me and offered to let me keep the defective pair of socks in addition to sending me a new pair free of charge. Thank you Backcountry!

I love these socks for hiking. I've tried a lot of socks and these are my go to socks for hiking. Even though I am a 6.5 to 7 shoe I wear these in a small with the bridgedale sock liner. I routinly hike 6 to 8 hours in these with no blisters or hot spots. I've tried other socks combos and these are the only ones that I can say that about. I've tried smartwool, backcountry, darn tough and the REI brand. None worked for hiking. I love my smartwools for everyday and wear them for biking, I also still wear the backcountry socks for bike commuting but when I hike it is these. I wash them in the machine and flat dry them so far they have held up fairly well, only a little pilling.

Even though these socks are targeted for hiking, I bought them for running. I own the X-Hale Speed Divas, but prefer more ankle coverage. The X-Hale Trail Diva Sock is a fantastic compromise, because I can use them for hiking too!

The Bridgedale Women's X-Hale Trail Diva Sock is the PERFECT sock for Summer-time hiking. It is light weight, breathable, and padded in just the right spots. I wore these while hiking in July, and my feet stayed dry, and blister-free. I would totally recommend the Bridgedale X-Hale Trail Diva Sock to anyone who is looking for that perfect Summer sock.
