If you're tired of sloppy heels, silver dollar-sized blisters, and chilly toes, solve the problem with the Bridgedale Men's Heel-Fit Lightweight Ski Socks. This sock offers anatomic construction and sculpted pads to improve heel fit, which increases volume around the heel and ankle. Your feet will stay comfortably warm as Bridgedale made these with merino wool, which includes both absorbing and wicking properties.
Bottom Line: Get more out of your turns when you wear the Bridgedale Heel-Fit Midweight Ski Socks.
I also scored these for free but had been looking to pick up some tall socks anyway. Since I run I have slimmer calves and I would still say these socks run on the snug side. I like the inclusion of merino wool in the mix. Overall good sock I'd probably even pay money for!
Bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas. He was complaining that his thick wool Costco socks just weren't cutting it for his ski days. He loves these socks! He says that the padding is right where it should be, and he loves how high they come up. He's 6'1" and they come up to just above mid-calf. He said they don't fall down at all, and wick sweat but don't leave him feeling cold. Great sock!
I got a free pair of XL socks with my order on Department of Goods, and they are awesome. The price was great, but I would easily pay for them. I have large calves, but the fit isn't too tight, I have been wearing them all day with no problems. Top-Notch Socks.

I'm on 2nd pair in about 5 years. No frays, strings or bulls**t. Very warm & comfortable. I also bought some for kids(different website)no bitchin'!Good ski and board sock! Bridgedale socks.....5 stars!
same problem as sno-rox, with the small hole appearing at the end of the seam where the foot and calf parts come together but it hasn't gotten bigger even after wearing it 6-8 times, otherwise a great sock, I would say light-weight instead of mid-weight but it did keep my feet warm in ski boots during some CO winter skiing.
Very nice sock, well fit, and well placed padding where needed. One problem though, in the thinner part of the material above the ankle in front, a small hole appeared in the material. AFTER WEARING THE SOCKS ONCE!!!
I got these and was supprised at how thin they were. They seemed more like liners than midwieght socks. Also it felt like i was walking on wet sand. I wanted to use these for winter hiking but I think that would be a bad idea. That being said i am particular about my feet and strongly prefer thick socks that wick real well.
Spent around 20-25 days in these socks this winter while touring, shooting photos, and spending tons of time in my boots trudging around the hill. Calf height provides comfortable coverage above a pair of ski boots and the large fit is snug for my size 8.5 foot (and slim calves). Socks are thin in some places but I feel that the black areas of padding do an excellent job of cushioning your feet inside hard ski boots. After plenty of washes and days logged no wear and tear issues.
