Bridgedale CoolMax Liner Sock - 2 Pack - Men's

The Bridgedale Men's CoolMax Liner sock takes its job as a moisture-wicking layer seriously. Designed to be worn under other Bridgedale socks when you know you'll be encountering extremely moist conditions, like during spring mountaineering, this Liner mimics the supportive shape of the heavier sock. The result is a system that fits together precisely and works together to keep your feet comfortable and dry. The CoolMax Liner is tough enough to be worn on its own, should temps rise or you need to air out your other socks.

Bottom Line: A liner with a purpose.

Concerned I could only get them in the UK

By:

Found my first pair in an out door shop at about the half-way mark of the (92 mile) Cotswald Way. I had never heard of sock liners before. I was dealing with a blister and a "hot spot" and was blessed the rest of the way thanks to the liners.

Found similar products in the US when I returned; but none of the other brands came close in terms of all day performance; so I Googled them.

Mark me down as being greatly relieved because this year it is the 192 mile Coast to Coast trail and, because the CtoC is much further North - and runs east to west....I would be no where close to the shop where I first discovered them.

Good liners. The heal cup band thingies you see in the pictures actually do hold the socks in place fairly well.
I was... pleasantly surprised by these socks.

A risk worth taking

Like the other person I took a chance picking these up, yes they were on sale so it made it easier. I can say comparing them to the REI brand, and Smartwool they stack up just fine. No complaints and nothing that I can see that would cause someone else to complain. Again I didn't use them with Bridgedales.

I used to get heel blisters ski touring and started using the coolmax liners under Bridgedale Ski Ultra Light socks and it's work great. I think I was getting the blisters from my feet being wet. I haven't used the liners without a sock over it, but it works great as a liner and does keep the moisture off of my skin. No blisters since.

Won't hike without them

I used to get major blisters, plus my feet get hot and sweaty while hiking. No more with these babies on. I pair them with heavy duty hiking socks, and I use body glide on the trouble spots. No problems so far. Happy feet = happy hikers Recommended!

CoolMax is nice and all, but you need wool! There's a nice alliteration about wool, 'wool wears warm when wet.' Check out SmartWool socks, they're my personal favorites. They're not itchy at all, in fact, they're super soft.Alternately, Backcountry.com has a kickass pair of wool socks that they're putting out at a killer price. Check the links below.http://www.backcountry.com/store/brand/100000111/SmartWool.htmlhttp://www.backcountry.com/store/BCC0075/Backcountry-Merino-Trail-Sock-3-Pair.html

They work.

Bridgedale socks are normally a 9/10 for wicking; when worn with these, they are 10/10.

chanced it...luv'd it

most confusing here is that anything except pure wool & cotten knocks my skin for a loop...these tho defied all reason...wore them with & without the Darn Tough Full Merino's...and great runs for their breakin of city concrete with hills...ok, i still love my Brashers from UK yet these really held up even when I slammed my baby toe into the backpack one night and ended up with four toes strapped together ...comfortable (full stop)! no burns, no problems!
