Comfortable but I got blisters
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I hike a lot in the summer and my feet were in hiking shape when I tried out these new socks. They felt comfortable but after a 3 hour hike, 7 miles up and down 3000ft, I had serious blisters on the insides of the balls of both feet. I've done similar hikes all summer long with the same lightweight boots and same feet, different socks are the only explanation.
Bridgedale -- Industry Leader
I bought these in preparation for my second trip to Afghanistan, after my Bridgedales outlasted all other wool sock brands on the last tour. The Bamboo Light Hiker has quality padding at key hot spots on the foot but breathable and thin on the tops of the foot and leg.
Pulled these babies on for the first time today. All I can say is wow. They went on easily, no fighting to get them over the heel. They are amazingly comfortable. Stay in place and wick sweat very well. After trying many different hiking socks I am definitely buying more of these.
