My last pair of Born shoes was about 1/2 size too large, others seen the same issue?

Responded on

I have experienced the same sizing issue with Born as you have. I find that people with wider feet will be safe to get their usual shoe size in Born. Though if you are a standard "D" width, I would recommend going down a 1/2 especially in slip-ons.

Great loafer, runs large

I had to exchange the 11 (my husband's usual size) for a 10.5 (still too large) and then a 10 (which fit just right). Very comfortable and well made shoe. Anthracite color is true to the color pictured on the site.

Wear thin socks

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I normally wear an 11 and that's the size I got for these shoes. They are just right. They're a little on the narrow side, but I imagine they'll stretch a little since they're made of pig skin. I plan on wearing these with dress socks, so I'm fine with the size I got. If you want to wear thicker socks, though, I would recommend going up a half-size. They appear to be very well made, but I can't really speak to their durability yet because I'm waiting for some snow to melt here in SLC before I start wearing these.
