Get out of bounds with the Peregrine Backcountry Skiing Utah Guidebook. Backcountry ski guide and avalanche safety instructor Tyson Bradley describes 65 day trips and extended tours throughout the state—when you tire of the Wasatch you can head to the remote Abajo or Tushar mountains. Get information on vertical relief, difficulty, length, and best time of year for each tour listed, as well as detailed maps.

Bottom Line: Chairlifts … who needs them?

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

I love this book! Great autumn read for getting jazzed up for the coming snow. The maps aren't all that detailed, but the writing is. Helps me to sort out the best way up to the non-obvious areas. Pick it up and check out some non-Cottonwood skiing!
