Lovin' my polka dots!
Jump, jump, jumping in my Bogs!
Mud season, here I come!!
"girls" is not "women's" (calf size...)
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
My women's size 7 foot is, according to the sizing chart, equal to a girls (kids) size 6. The girls boots were half the price of the exact same model in the women's category so, why not? When the boots arrived they were super cute, looked to be well-made, and the foot area fit perfectly. *However*, it did not occur to me that my larger-than-my-boyfriend's calves would be an issue, even though I have trouble buying women's dress boots and 'outgrew' my hiking gaiters...
So, the calf circumference of the boot is too small and the boots are tight only in that region. A call to Bogs (very helpful folks, by the way) confirmed that boots in girls sizes are manufactured w a 12" calf circumference and the women's - while the same in every other way - have a calf circumference of 14". Sadly, I must return these.
So, if you're an adult woman with normally-shaped legs, then I suggest measuring your calves just in case but expect to save big $ on the youth version.
I'm giving these 4 stars since the boots themselves were not the source of the problem, I but didn't actually wear them out in the rain to verify comfort, waterproofing, etc.
Live and learn.
