Blurr gave the Men's Meta Short a knee-length cut and gusseted crotch to ensure you stay comfortable whether you're getting after it on the small stone or roping up for long routes. Thanks to a blend of organic cotton and durable nylon, the Meta Short handles the hazards of a day on the rocks and remains soft enough to keep you stoked when you're just hanging around town.

Be careful of sizing!

By:

I was dubious of size when I ordered these because I had seen people post saying they fit on the larger size... so I was quite surprised when mine fit on the small side. I wear a 32 in most everything... something a 31 from some companies. These 32's were tight to get on, and felt much to constrictive to hike in, besides even try to climb in them.

I really wanted to like them though! They were light, had a nice cut, seemed like good quality material, and looked well made... but alas they didn't fit.

Favorite Shorts ever

These are my absolute favorite shorts, wish I had got more than one pair in khaki. They are incredibly comfy and light and the length is perfect. They are long but not overly loose. I love how they look, not to mention they are really sturdy in the seams. I work at a pool store and have spilled several chemicals on them... there was some minor bleaching but no holes burned through the material (like they did on my shirt...). Every time I have the ability I buy these, too bad they are so hard to find.

a great pair of shorts

I bought 2 pair, and really like them. The only thing that surprised me a little is how low-rise they are, so depending on where you like to wear your shorts you may find the crotch a little tight.

Sizing is way off!

By:
July 22, 2008

My boyfriend ordered a pair of these off Steepandcheap.com - he normally wears a 30 with a belt, so that's what he ordered. They fit like a 34 or larger - they were too big to even use a belt on (I could have stuck a leg and an arm in there while he was wearing them). I double-checked the hang tag and the tag inside the shorts and they both confirmed the size 30. He would have exchanged for a 28, but that would probably be too big as well. They were a little big length-wise as well, falling just past his knees (he's 5'9"). The material seemed pretty tough but wasn't stiff or itchy and I think they'd be good for climbing - just beware of the sizing.

Strange, I found the sizing to be off but in the opposite direction. I normally wear a 32 or a 33, I ordered a 32 of this and I could barely even get the pants past my thighs, much less around my waist.

So Chill

Awesome shorts! Very lightweight and cool. Thinness of material is really comfortable and still feels durable. Sizing for my shorts was right on; I wear 32's so I ordered 32's. The only thing is the color is darker than it appears in the picture but they still look good so that's fine with me.

My new favorite sport-climbing and bouldering shorts

By: Backcountry.com Employee Professional Athlete

(My prAna Mojos were bumped to second by these shorts.)

They are comfortable with a harness on and are long enough to keep the legs from riding up and looking like a pair of running shorts when you're hangdogging. The size 30 was a perfect fit on my 30 inch waist. The legs come to the middle of my kneecap when I'm standing, and they move well enough that the length is no problem when high-stepping.

The organic cotton + nylon fabric is super comfortable, but I think it will also be more durable than my Mojos, which is a plus.
