Great outdoor pants!

Ok, I read reviews on SAC before buying, and decided to take my chance. These pants are great. They fit really well, and move with you well. (I tested them by dancing to hip hop around the house! ha ha) And for the ones commenting that they look funny, it's because how YOU'RE shaped, not the pants. I'm 5'8", 140, small 27" waist, 38"hips, and they look fantastic on me. They look my butt look amazing. I ordered 6/M and they fit perfect, with just the right amount of wiggle room without looking baggy at all.

"it's because of how YOU'RE shaped" wow, you sound like a winner.

Great material, ok cut

Just picked these up on SAC for about $18. I really like the eco-friendly material and how it feels. Also love the rip-stop nylon (I've had pants that weren't reinforced .. and a split in the pants is NOT what you're looking for while climbing). Less than thrilled about the way it looks around the hips -- kind of balloons which isn't very flattering. The ties are ok, but I can see them being very useful when climbing. Definitely a fan of the thigh pockets, but it'd be nice to have hip pockets, for the days you aren't climbing. I got a small since I usually have size 4-5 pants (I'm 5'4", 120 lbs). The length and waist works perfectly for me. Just wish the pants looked more flattering.

Sizing Opinion

I'm a size medium just under 5'8" and around 140. I was nervous about the sizing so I ordered both a medium and large.

I swim in the large - flat too big.

The mediums fit nicely along the waist which provides button/snap closure along with a tie if you need to cinch it up a bit. Length is spot on and long enough to come to your shoes and also provides tie closure for windy days.

Durable fabric, slimline pockets and flattering fit. It's possible that the semi-low rise would cause a problem with a harness, but these days... doesn't everything?

I'm in the process of exchanging my large for a different color of medium.

Like the material, not the fit

Great material for climbing, straps on the inside are a good feature to keep the legs from falling down if you roll them up, but I am 5'9" 150 and the medium pants are an inch or two too short and the waist is too big so it gaps in the back. Not what I want to be thinking about when I'm trying to send a problem.
