A skinny little rope with lots of muscle.
Unlike most skinny ropes, you can climb with the Blue Water Wave Double Dry 9.3mm Climbing Rope as a single for single pitch routes or pair it up as a half rope for some big-wall adventures. Blue Water packed as much sheath onto this rope as possible so you can climb with it as a single or a half rope, and this unique construction gives the rope incredible handling characteristics as well as a longer life. The Wave also holds a round shape throughout its life in order to ease your rope management on big walls and help you find dead spots faster. Blue Water also added a Double Dry treatment to this rope in order to prevent it from absorbing water from puddles and wet rocks.

Overall a good rope
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I've used this rope for a little over 6+ months, probably putting around 200 pitches on it so far, mostly on multipitch trad.
Overall it's been a very solid rope.
-9.3mm size offers some weight savings for long approaches, but not so skinny I'm worried(needlessly) about it.
-Durability, which tends to decline as the diameter shrinks, has held up excellently.
-The Double-Dry treatment is very helpful while keeping dirt out, even when climbing out here in "Sandona", AZ.
-It's pretty coily. I'd expect that right out of the gate, but after so many pitches, I'd hope they would have worked themselves out.
-Stiffness - it's gotten a bit stiff and no longer has that silky smooth handling it did in the beginning.
Again, overall a very good rope. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a single rope in smaller diameter that wants some weight saving's and good performance, but isn't willing to sacrifice any durability from the thicker ropes out there.
Great rope so far.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Recently purchased this rope and have climbed on it for approximately 10 crag days. The rope handles very well, both clipping and through a belay device. Reasonably light and packs up quite small. The sheath seems durable but I haven't had this rope long enough to truly comment on it's durability. Offers smooth catches on the few whips I've taken on it. Overall pleased so far.
