Titan Zeus IQ Ski w/ FR 16 Binding

Big, straight, and stiff, the Blizzard Titan Zeus IQ is the lightning-bolt-throwing, powder-crushing ruler of the mountain. The burly FR 16 Binding makes this massive ski touring-capable, but with a traditional sandwich wood/titanium construction and vertical sidewalls, the Zeus is all about going fast and straight in the opposite direction of up. Hiking it out the gate and skinning to the start of a jaw-dropping film segment is what this Blizzard setup is about, and at 119 underfoot with a huge 58 meter turning radius, you had better bring a spare set of lungs, preferably strapped to an extra pair of quads. All that said, the Zeus is surprisingly nimble in the right conditions (read: deep powder) due to its minimal sidecut and football-field-like surface area. Just don’t take the 191cm edition into the trees after a holiday weekend or you’ll be buying a new helmet.

Bottom Line: Mortals need not apply.

well considering they're 191 underfoot and made to shred powder I'd have to say go with something else for groomers, they're gonna be more difficult to maneuver and heavier than an all mountain ski

Well, as you may have already figured out by the specs on these skis, they are not for the faint of heart. I found myself a little out-skied on these stiffies after my first few attempts at turning them.

Yet, it only took about half a run to figure them out, and after that...yeeesh! All hell breaks loose on the Zeus' and you'd better watch out for ski patrol because these skis like to go fast. With a 58 meter turn radius, they find a way to glide smoothly at top speeds. But what really sold me is how well they bomb through crud and pow.

This is definitely a good ski for speed freaks who like to ski in variable conditions.

Is the binding allready mounted when shipping? If yes what mounting

I'm not sure if the binding is already mounted or not, but with that binding and ski combo it's super easy to change the mounting point to either the forward or back position. There's two inserts in the ski, and one hole in the bindings, so you can easily switch and find the one that suits you best. I like the forward one...
