The Blizzard Titan Zeus IQ Max Ski w/ Slider Plate leaves a giant spray of thunderbolts as you turn. It rides fast, makes minimal—but ginormous—turns, and will take you on mythical chariot rides in BC and AK. An innovative slider plate binding system multiplies your setup and stance options.

  • Ridiculous footprint and even-more-ridiculous turning radius gives this ski the cajones to make five turns on an untracked, two thousand foot long, 55 degree face
  • Wide body and IQ Max construction maximizes the ski’s float and edge control
  • Titanium and carbon reinforced wood core offers responsive handling and maintains high-performance torsional rigidity
  • Hefty rocker creates a zen-like levitation in the powder and surfs the crud
  • Ultra-versatile slider binding plate lets you mount any binding to the plate, plus you can slide the plate forward or backward 3cm in either direction for a powder stance or jib stance

Bottom Line: Pack a spare pair of quads. This setup was not intended for mere mortals.

You can mount ANY binding (Alpine, AT, Tele) to this IQ max slider plate. Bindings are mounted on the Slider just like traditional bindings are mounted on a flat ski. Once mounted another big selling point for this is that it IS removeable or even offers 7 cm worth of adjustability over your you center point. So with additional plates, you could even rock a tele and alpine set up on the same ski; or a single pair of binding, between multiple blizzard skis. Pretty slick!

Big Fast Borads!

I've been loving these skis for days when I really want to go fast, and definitely the faster the better on these, in powder and especially chopped pow and crud. The large shovels make them stomping machines, allowing you to land pretty centered and not go over the bars. I'm 5'11" 175lb, have tried both sizes and much prefer the 194 as I think it allows me to better ski them as they were designed. As far as I know the two sizes are 185 and 194, so the info panel to the right must be a typo, but the drop down gives the correct choices. Like any big stiff skis, they can be a handful when you get tired and want to back off a bit, but it's worth it for the stability when you are charging, which you should be on the Zeuses. They have some tip rocker which does make them much easier to ski than boards of this size and stiffness without that little bit of rocker. I've had my sliders mounted center and have been so happy with the performance that I haven't even tried skiing them forward or back yet. I also increased the base bevel to a strong 1 degree and that made them much easer to handle.

A 'strong 1 degree' base bevel, eh? Good to know, Arne. Thanks...I'll try that out when I get my pair.

Btw...for those who don't already know, Arne just won the Freeskiing World Tour stop in Revelstoke this year on a pair of Zeus'. So, if you want to ski like the Champ, get yourself some of these skis!

Can you mount a Marker Duke/Baron on the slider plate? The center

Can you mount a Marker Duke/Baron on the slider plate? The center screw on the Duke would go right in the middle of the plate, where the cutout is.

Or - does Blizzard have a different plate for use with the Duke?

Yes, you can mount a duke on a slider plate, but it's a little tricky. I've always done mine so that the slider screw is accessible through the hole in the center of the bindings. It works well enough but the center hole on the bindings doesn't get a screw so you have to be a little more careful when you switch from ski to hike.

There is a special version of the duke for the IQ system that has a different base plate than the standard, production model duke. It is meant to mount to the IQ track. I'm not sure if a regular duke will work or not if you decide to mount them up, or if any modifications need to be made to the ski or the binding. But there is an IQ Duke, or Duke IQ.
