Blizzard Titan Cronus Ski - 2008 BCS

I thought these skis performed well all over the mountain. I had them up at snowbird after a powder day in the fluffy left overs and they handled the groomers to the choppy stuff well. The little bit of powder that I was able to find was fun but I thought they definetly lacked the float and performance that I have had with skis of similar size. The tips felt like they wanted to dive instead of float, this was definetly there weak point in my opinion. The overall flex of the ski I would rate as medium leaning towards a medium stiff. Again these skis railed on the groomers and where great in the crud. If you don't ski much powder I think this would be a good investment, plus I think the graphics are kinda cool.

These ski's are some of the best I have tried out this year. With a former racing background, I was, at first sight, unsure of them, being a little softer then I generally ski, but from the first run I was impressed. I skied this on several different conditions and terrain types, and nothing seemed to phase them. I found them to be quick responding, aggressively gripping, and incredibly well designed. The only downside of these ski's that I thought stood out was their overly heavy weight, so if your a lightweight fanatic, go look at some touring skis. If you want something that's up for anything, will keep a smile on your face, and not set you back $1300, hit these bad boys up!

I picked up a pair of these babies for my stepdad to demo. Here is what he had to say about them...

"I had been skiing on some pretty old 205s since the early 80s. I found these Blizzards to be extremely easy to carve on... virtually effortless to turn. The normal feeling at the end of the day - bone ass tired, legs shot - I did not experience on these skis. They performed well above my expectations on the groomed as well as out in the junk. The entire experience was so positive I would not hesitate to purchase this ski and use it as my primary ski for all types of terrain.

I took this out as a demo ski on a 10 in powder day at snowbird and was very impressed; it floated very well in powder and carved like a champion on hard pack and what little Ice there was. I had never heard of Blizzard skis before but now I'm a fan

These skis are a very similar cut to my old Legend 8800, but they felt very different. Took them out on a day with variable conditions. From hardpacked groomers to a variety of settled and windpacked powder. These skis excelled on all. Through all the varieties of snow I skied like a hero. And I was amazed how well it carved on the almost icy groomers. They railed it , unlike my Dynastars which get a little chattery.

I've taken these out in all conditions and they've performed with shining colors. They're even good in the bumps. Shovel doesn't float like a powder ski but they're a great all around weapon for that one quiver arsenal!
I highly recommend them.
