Titan Argos IQ Max Ski w/ Slider Plate

Designed for powder-hungry big-mountain crushers, the Blizzard Titan Argos IQ Ski with Slider Plate Binding slays with style. Much like its massive big bro, the Blizzard Zeus Ski, the Titan boasts plenty of girth and rocker for huge turns through delicious fresh steeps. But with more sidecut and a less insane footprint than the Zeus, it can turn more nimbly and navigate versatile terrain.

  • Sandwich sidewall construction blesses the ski with solid edging and under-the-gun performance
  • Titanium-reinforced wood core munches variable snow and gobbles powder turns
  • Integrated slideable binding plate system is built into the ski’s shape for extra-efficient power transfer
  • Ultra-versatile slider binding plate lets you mount any binding to the plate, plus you can slide the plate forward or backward 3cm in either direction for a powder stance or jib stance

Bottom Line: Killer combo, minus the serious dough-dropping.

Racey Carvey Fat skis

The Argos has become my high pressure, firm snow ski, but they're good in chop and pow too. I love the way they want to carve, even in chop, so I tend to ski fast and lock into long turns when the conditions are right, but the control is great too, so they're fun for billy goating and picking around. They're not twin tips, but the tail is rounded and curved up just enough to make them a little more forgiving in the back. These skis have really fast bases, so I usually only have to hot wax them once or twice to condition them and then I'll be dusting my friends all season. I've been skiing these one or two cm forward of center on the slider.

Many skis have curved up tips and tails but are not true twin tips. This is one of these skis. If you're looking for something to ride hard in the park as well, I would suggest a different ski.

Crud-Busters!

By: Backcountry.com Sponsored Athlete

The Titan Argos is the ski I go to for days when it's all down the fall-line. I pack my twin-tip Blizzard Answers away, swap out the touring bindings, and get ready to point it down the hill.

The Argos is a strong ski that blasts through crud and pow without sacrificing any control or style on the rider's behalf. My favorite part of the ride with these skis is their ability to carve tight GS turns down the hardpack back to the chairlift. These skis are silky smooth, transitioning from variable snow conditions to groomers with ease. I keep them mounted about center, but I'm looking to play with that a little bit here in the near future.
