Titan Argos IQ Max Ski w/ Slider Plate

Because of its titanium-reinforced core and raised tip and tail, the Blizzard Titan Argos IQ Max Ski with Slider Plate rules powder and crud but doesn\222t feel squirrely on hard snow. At 105mm underfoot, the Argos remains nimble enough to etch a line through dense treed chutes, while the wide, rockered shovel and titanium-reinforced core keeps you upright while straightlining into the deep apron below.

  • IQ Max Slider permits 7cm of adjustability for different binding positioning and acts as an interface between the ski and any binding you wish to attach that day—be it alpine, AT, or telemark
  • Your binding attaches to the slider and locks easily into place—extra sliders sold separately
  • A 59mm wide channel in the binding zone (where the slider locks into place) allows quick power transfer to the edges, which means it skis like a skinny ski
  • The reverse camber Utility Rocker features a raised tip and tail so you can skim across the surface of the deep snow
  • IQ-Max Sandwich Compound Sidewall construction utilizes World Cup racing technology, creating a fast but easy-to-turn ski with excellent edge grip

Bottom Line: Must destroy all remaining stashes.

Can I use IQ bindings from another pair of Blizzard skis, specifically from a pair of X-Cross?

Unfortunately you can't use your bindings from the X-cross on these skis. These skis come with the slider plate which makes the ski act like a flat ski in that you can mount any flat binding right to the plate. You can also slide the plate out and slide in any Blizzard IQ MAX binding from the last three years. The IQ Max bindings are wider than the traditional IQ bindings. The IQ system in the Argos only accepts IQ Max bindings or the slider.

Unfortunately, The entire backcountry line of Blizzard skis WITH the IQ system are Heavy! This may be why Blizzard stopped production of these skis.
