    My Wife Likes It

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this for my wife as a gift and she really loves it. She used it throughout the winter, and loved it. I even used it one time and it is a good trainer. Works great. Easy to adjust. Offers varied tensions.

    Excellent Trainer

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I live in Houston, and since we get sun most days of the year, my need for a trainer was rather low...however if I had to train indoors (rain, lazy) I wanted to make sure it had a good QPR. Tech Mag 6 is everything I hoped it would be. Very easy to assemble...just a few nuts and bolts, maybe 20 minutes and I was on the bike. Easy to connect to the bike (2010 Roubaix Comp) and incredibly stable. Even while standing up and grinding there was very little movement in the trainer. The remote was great to have as well...mimics hills (5-6), harder work (3-4) , or cruising and sprinting as well (1-2). I threw a yoga mat underneath to catch all the sweat, and you'll certainly sweat more than on a regular ride with no wind.

Since I haven't used many trainers, I can't compare the noise level to others, but I can tell you it wasn't loud, and I could easily watch TV without turning it up more than I usually do. It even folds up to put away under a bed or some out of the way place. This'll be a great thing to have to keep the training up...may even bring it out to some rides to warm up before we kick.

    Great first Trainer

This is my first trainer and it works great. All the listed features is what sold me on this product. I managed to set it up even though there was no instruction manual with it. Is that normal or does everyone have to figure out how to assemble it with the pictures on the box? Besides that, it was a great deal.

Is it necessary to install the quick release skewer if your bike is already equipped with quick release rims?

I have 2011 focus road bicycle, and I like to know if this Trainer will accommodate this bike? ( Blackburn mag six Trainer)
