Description

Insert somewhat humorous cage-fighting reference here

Cheap plastic bottle holsters might hold onto your gear on the road, but the burly Blackburn Mountain Water Bottle Cage was built for pedal-churning rides in the mountains. Oversized aluminum framing secures your water bottle tight so it won't go flying when you float over a rock garden at mach looney.

The classic for a reason

Jim Blackburn started out in 1977 in Santa Cruz CA making aluminum bike racks and soon his classic aluminum bottle cages. They still have not been surpassed (though often copied). Blackburn is now part of the awesome Easton/Giro group.

Classic design, strong yet light, unbreakable, affordable.

Exactly What I Needed

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It's simple, it's durable, and it holds my water. Just what I asked for.

Gets the job done.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It is simple and gets the job done for holding my water bottle.

Simple Enough!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

You get what you see. Seems sturdy and light and the price was right! One thing though it didn't come with any hardware, but I am unsure if others do.

Blackburn Mountain Water Bottle Cage

I got the cage in red which looks great on my all black bike.

gets the job done

this cage is durable and gets the job done... fits most all bottles with a simple bend of the bars if needed; not the lightest, but if you're not Lance why care?!

Bought for Podium water bottle

Bought this cage for my Camelbak water bottle. The bottle fits very tight, but I'm sure will loosen up a little with more use.

Utilitarian Bottle Holder. Does the Job

The Ford F150 of bike water bottle holders. Function over form. Durable and holds your water bottle.

Responded on

Totally agree, Aaron,...'Function over Form'...everything else is just a waste!!!

Thirsty no more

Easy to install and now I can bring my water along for the ride!

Cheap and easy

It does just what it should, and it's simple. Not so lightweight that I have to worry about breaking it if I accidentally kick it a few times. A good buy.
