Don't needlessly fall off another climb because you're a sweaty mess—use custom-blended, 100% pure magnesium carbonate Uncut White Gold Chalk from Franklin Climbing Equipment. Franklin hand selected chalk from around the world to bring you this killer blend. With no added drying agents, White Gold is the driest unadulterated climbing chalk on the market — stop hurting your skin and the environment by using chalk that contains chemical additives. Start using White Gold, stick to that nasty hold, and become the local crag hero.
Bottom Line: Don't become a sweaty mess – use White Gold frequently to stay dry and appear more attractive to the opposite sex.
Black Diamond Chalk is so soooo smooooth! It's crazy since it's still chunky that it can feel so smooth on your fingers.
I used this stuff by itself for a few weeks and was pretty darn impressed since I normally go for coarser chalk due to my overly sweaty hands (think super chalk). It was hard for me to tell when I needed rechalking since it was so light and smooth. I hardly noticed the difference in feel between chalk-ups, but you definitely notice a difference in friction with this stuff. Chalk without having to cake it on?!
It's hard to say if White Gold is necessarily better or worse than Super Chalk, in my opinion. They're just 2 very different types of chalk. Lately I've been experiementing with various mixtures of both and it's been very reliable in keeping my hands dry (I'm overly sweaty ;[ ), chalked up for longer periods, and the friction is totally rad with the White Gold!!
I'm going to try using some more of this by itself when I need to refill again.
magnesium carbonate you are the bomb you absorb my sweat when I can't keep my calm I tried all the brands but you are the best Not to fine and slippy...your the perfect mesh When I get pulled over, the cops get suspicious They eyeball me hard and say "what the hell is this?" I say that my friend is pure white gold This usually doesn't help they say "hands up and do as your told" That's when I explain to their consternation that this white stuff is for soaking up perspiration I show them my chalk bag and give them a taste That's when they know their time is a waste But no matter what trouble you might bring Chalk oh chalk, you will always be my queen From tickmarks to slopers to crimpers to jugs Chalk I want to give you Kisses and Hugs.

This chalk is awesome. It keeps my hands dry. Doesn't over coat them. It just works. It comes in a bag powder/nuggets, instead of the block shown in the picture, which makes it easy to just dump into my chalk bag.
Awesome chalk, super soft and dry. It sticks to your hands pretty well, I prefer it over Super Chalk. Although I still like So iLL chalk better. Good stuff, will continue to buy.
This chalk has excellent drying capabilities. Much better than a buddy's Metolius I used. I feel like it gives me a little extra grippiness on holds compared to the Metolius. Great stuff for both indoor and outdoor.
I use white Gold while both gym climbing and climbing in the great outdoors. This chalk feels super light on the fingers and it drys the sweat quickly. I have done routes with this chalk that I was not able to do without the chalk. I've used other chalks, but WHITE GOLD is the best.
i really like the white gold chalk by black diamond it works great and takes the moisture away instantly and gives excellent grip i have used it exclusively and love it. i will definitely buy more.
This is like cocaine, but it actually gets you off the ground. It is chalk, and chalk that really works. Dries out my hands mid-pitch, I can focus on the problem at hand, not the sweat in hand. It is uncut though, so beware of the super addictiveness.
I haven't used too many different chalks, but I find that this seems to do the trick. I don't find myself dipping for more every few moves and a little goes a long way.
What else can I say? Chalk is chalk. This one happens to work great! I like its small-chunked, ground-up consistency because I don't have to spend time breaking up big chunks and it dries out my hands without giving them that squeaky/slippery feeling that can happen with fine powder chalks. I don't use much chalk at the gym but I use it often climbing outdoors, and this one's my favorite. I've tried big, cheap chalk blocks and Metolius chalk and my personal preference is for the BD White Gold.
By the way, the 56g size comes as a solid block whereas the 100g, 200g and 300g sizes come loosely ground in a bag or little plastic tub. It's confusing the way BC presents it above in the picture so I thought it'd be helpful to clarify.
This chalk is awesome. I've used SuperChalk my entire time climbing, and when I ran out this time, I figured I'd try something different. As soon as I got it in, I could tell the consistency was different. It seemed smoother, less like sand and more like powdered sugar...Not sure how else to explain it. First time I climbed with this, I could tell that this was gonna be my new favorite chalk.
I work at a gym where our rental bags are filled with Super Chalk. As a result I get to fill my bag for free with it, but I still opt to buy white gold. Super chalk almost feels like you're climbing with all purpose flour on your hands. It may dry the sweat but it's not really ideal. White Gold has the same drying effect but just feels grippier. Hands down my favorite brand of chalk.
I've used four kinds of chalk now. I like this better than Metolius chalk. Seems about the same as that Frank Endo chalk, but easier to come by for me.
I just started rock climbing. Instructor and others I climb with use this chalk, so how could I go wrong. First two climbs I didn't use chalk, now I use it all the time.
This is great Chalk. I normally would buy block chalk and then break it up into pieces. This White Gold is sold already broken up into perfect sized gold nuggets. I purchased the 300g size and it should last me several months climbing 2-3 times each week.
Best chalk I've used yet! Nice nuggets for filling a homemade chalk sock and then a few tossed into the bottom of the bag. No cake batter hands! 300G is ALOT of chalk now that I wont be using so much. Shipping was ultra fast too!
Being afraid of heights I get terror sweats like crazy even on a 5.5.. I was using a "Met" brand and it wasn't helping much except drying my skin.. Switched to BD and presto I am climbing 7 and 8's and able to work on advancing
This chalk does its job too well. Climbing with this chalk has dried my hands out to the point where a fellow co-worker was disgusted with my cracked fingers. I used to just dump it from the plastic bag into my chalk bag so I was able to plaster my hands pretty well with the stuff and that may have something to do with the extreme dryness of my hands. But either way it does its job and I don't have to worry about sweaty slippery hands.
This stuff dries out your hands better than anything else I've used. Metolius super chalk, which I used to really like, almost feels gritty after using this superfine magical white powder. It's not sticky at all, just...dry. Perfect!
I was actually looking for the Block chalk and instead I received this. It's OK, but I really like to break it up myself or use it to rub on my hands with one big side of the chalk.
