Black Diamond created the ultralight Torque Ice Glove for ice, mixed, and dry-tool climbing on the most demanding pitches on earth. Stretchy and abrasion-resistant softshell material allows total dexterity, and the ultra-grippy Slip-Stop synthetic palms stick to your tools like glue when you need to match, steinpull, or crank for a distant hook. The articulated hook-and-loop neoprene cuff keeps water out, and the EVA padding keeps your knuckles from getting bashed to smithereens.

Decent For Ice Climbing
- Familiarity:

I bought these for ice climbing and they are decent for drier days. They grip extremely well, even when wet, so no issues there, but they aren't terribly warm. Adding in a thin liner helps alleviate that issue.

Perfect for light warm gloves
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- XL
- Weight:

I use these back country skiing when temperatures are in the 20?s and not stormy. Perfect for light weight with great dexterity. I have to switch to heavier gloves when the winds really pick up with cold temps and snow. Love these gloves!

Stick like glue to ice tools

For ice climbing, I love these. They stick, period. Fairly good dexterity. I used them on most climbs last season and as they get wet, they stick even more. Can't speak to warmth. Still going strong into thier second season. The seams are a little annoying but I didn't buy these for comfort and I don't notice it once climbing. Dexterity is good, but not great, but that probably has more to do with my fingers being long so my thumb is just a hair short in the glove. I wear a large, but a size between large and medium would probably be perfect for me. I've never owned another pair of thin ice climbing gloves so I have nothing to compare these against. But they work, they're often on sale and I'll keep buying them. The gloves I have are fine with one season and good for another weekend warrior season at least, no rips or tears. I can't speak to warmth but they aren't made for warmth. These are designed with dexterity and grip in mind. I wear sandals in 10 degree weather, laugh at belay parkas and I can comfortably climb without any gloves (not that I would due to frostbite and grip) in 25+ temps. I just don't get cold or I don't notice or care if I do.
