The Black Diamond Titan pick offers incredible performance and the durability to stand up to the hardest alpine abuse the mountains can dish out. Designed to fit on any modular Black Diamond ice tool, the T-rated Titan Pick's durability makes it a great choice for mixed and alpine climbing where picks take the biggest beatings. Beveled teeth allow secure penetration and easy cleaning, so you won't have to wrestle with the ice to get your tool back.

Bottom Line: Get the burley Black Diamond Titan Pick for when it matters most.

Titan Pick-I bought one to replace my Lazer pick. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between these two picks? I placed them side by side and can see no difference other than the Titan has a squared off point on the top of the end?? The metal seems to have the same thickness.

These picks are the way to go. They just work perfectly. I think these are a huge upgrade from the laser picks in every respect, they stick great, and hold an edge very well and are tough.

I know that it says the Titan pick works on all BD tools... Just to be certain, does the Titan pick fit the Venom? It doesn't look it does.

kevin, this WILL NOT work on your tool, this is for technical ice tools whereas yours is a normal ice axe. the correct pick for your axe is either the:
the BD venom tech pick: http://www.backcountry.com/black-diamond-venom-tech-pick
or the BD venom classic pick http://www.backcountry.com/black-diamond-venom-classic-pick
either of these picks will work for your tool. personal preference, plus theyre the same price so good luck choosing!

So Black Diamond laser picks suck. Period. For weekend-warrior ice climbers who never abuse their gear, they work fine. But for those of us who like to take our tools and hang it out on big alpine routes, something a little more sturdy comes in handy (I broke 4 laser picks last year, no titans). The titan pick brilliant on mixed routes and, contrary to popular belief, does NOT trash thin ice or displace dinner plates with every swing if you know how to swing a tool. I won't use anything else.

Yes! You can verify it in the ice tool instruction manual on the Black Diamond web site. Picks, hammers and adzes are interchangable among all the two-screw heads.
