Sneak up on your favorite line.

Holding down the top ladies' spot in Black Diamond's lightweight Alpine Tour Series, the Swift Women's Alpine Touring Boot is made to help you cover serious ground and put tracks in steep, deep, and technical lines from California to Chamonix. Made of light Triax plastic, a single boot weighs just over three pounds, and uses a Triax Pivot frame design to provide 40° of cuff rotation for a smooth, natural stride and easy skinning. The wide V-shaped 103mm last keeps your toes comfortable and your heels locked in place during long, demanding days in the backcountry, and the women's-specific Efficient Fit AT Light liner is fully heat-moldable, so you dial up the perfect fit for all-day comfort and performance.

Black Diamond also hooked the liner up with fully taped seams for extra warmth, included articulated flex zones for smooth touring performance, and integrated a plastic tongue for a smooth, even flex that'll stay consistent in all temperatures. Add that to the Swift's do-it-all 100 flex, rockered rubber sole with integrated tech fittings, and Quickwire buckles and power strap, and you've got a boot that'll handle long approaches, steep climbs, and techy descents with ease, keeping your toes warm and comfortable all the while.

Super light and comfy, but a little soft

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I have worked outdoors in the woods for 12 years, and am an avid backpacker, skier, and mountaineer, and I have always had an INCREDIBLY hard time finding good boots. I wear size 6.5 in womens, but my feet are very wide. I LOVE these boots. I own the smallest size they make, and my good friend (also with wide feet) owns the largest size they make, and we have walked many miles together in them. She even wears them when the approach hike includes a few miles of dirt trail! I have always thought the boot was too soft, but my friend recently bought the other liner BD makes for these that are supposed to make them warmer and ski stiffer, and she swears by them. I have bought the new stiffer liners but haven't tried them out yet. Overall these boots are super light and amazingly comfortable for super long hikes, but I'll have to wait and see if their downhill performance improves with the new liners.

Hey - just wondering if you ever tried to new liners that come with these boots. I am thinking of upgrading to the new liners, with the draw chord. But when I tried them on in the store, they had a seam that was really putting pressure against my shin/ankle bone. Another girl I know said she has been struggling with that issue all season. Wondering if there is a way to deal with this issue. Thanks
