Polartec Thermal Pro insulation gives the Black Diamond Stratos Gloves the warmth to laugh in the face of cold weather. A removable high-loft fleece liner adds even more insulation when the temps really fall. Kevlar thread stitching and a Pittards Goatskin leather palm make the Stratos Gloves super tough, but supple and dexterous. An extended gauntlet with shock cord closure seals out the cold air and snow, and a waterproof BDry insert keeps you dry when the weather socks you in.
Bottom Line: One glove that does it all on the mountain,.

As with all our Black Diamond gloves, these are well worth the money we spent on them. They are one of the warmest, if not warmest glove that we've used and they live up to the BD promise. As with any warm glove, they lose a little when outside doing finely tuned work, but we've never found a glove that is perfect in every way. This one comes close to it.

I found these gloves to be very warm and was initially impressed with the construction. I have worn them on several boarding and winter snowshoe / mountaineering outings. Much to my surprise it appears that repeated use on hook-and-loop items is causing the tips of the fingers to begin looking frayed. I have always been happy with Black Diamond gear, and I am sure these will hold up, at least through a couple of winter seasons.
