A jacket that keeps you comfortably warm while you belay your buddy at the cold-weather crag or secret ice fall has to be a work of art, and the Black Diamond Men's Stance Belay Insulated Parka is the Mona Lisa of all cold-weather crag jackets. Two layers of 80g PrimaLoft Hi-Loft synthetic insulation bring the warmth without the weight, and the light-but-tough Pertex fabrics are treated with a DWR coating to repel moisture so you stay warm and dry in damp conditions. The Stance Parks is Black Diamond's warmest belay jacket, but still weighs well under two pounds so it won't feel like you're carrying an extra trad rack when you're toting it up to the crag.

Like any good parka, the Stance has a fully adjustable helmet-compatible hood to provide some extra warmth on those bone-chilling mornings, and a drawcord hem and stretch gusset cuffs to seal out cold air while you're watching your partner pull the crux. A plethora of pockets keep your phone, snacks, sunscreen, and beta sheets dry and handy, too, so you'll be as comfortable as can be when you're halfway through a four-hour belay job.
