Description

Low-profile glove for big-hitting 'senders.

Everyone has a top or bottom preference, and the Black Diamond Men's Spy Glove prefers to ride out powder on bottom, underneath the cuff of your jacket. Slide your hand inside this tough, fleece-lined glove and cinch the cuff of your jacket over the compression-molded cuff of the Spy Glove. Armed with a waterproof breathable BDry insert and a nigh-bulletproof goat leather palm, this glove protects your digits when you get wicked in the pillow lines beyond the park.

I bought this pair of gloves to augment my collection and to see if they'd replace the Legends I bought last season as an everyday glove. I was looking for a glove with a slimmer wrist enclosure and found them with the Spy.

I second John's assessment that the gloves are well made, fit nicely with no break in period (like, 1 day of skiing). The gloves are fairly warm but as warmth is a personal opinion (some people get cold easy/harder than others) you can take that for what it's worth. I skied with these on a day that started out warmish and ended really cold and my hands stay pretty comfy until it got to single digits....probably a function of my hands getting a bit sweaty then the cold front came in.....

All in all, sturdy construction and wet/wind proof for a glove not entirely leather. The wrist enclosure is low profile and easily fits under the cuff of a jacket. They're easy on/off and are pretty warm for a light weight glove...time will tell regarding how they hold up as it's the end of the season.

Excellent gloves. Best I've ever had so far. We've had pretty wet and cold days in Okemo, Vermont over Christmas and these gloves made skiing fun. There were 100% waterproof. They've gotten damp a little bit inside but it was because of the sweat probably. Great pair of gloves.

For a pretty thin glove this thing rocks. I always keep a pair in my pack for touring days and jumping. Really dexterious and nimble which is great. they come pretty soft so there isnt that lame "break-in" period.
