Do it all

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this pack for traveling, hiking, work bag, gym bag, I do everything with it. Very comfortable fit and the reActiv fit is awesome. I didn't know how much of a difference it would make since this is my first pack with that type of suspension. I am no longer fighting the pack on my back, it just moves with my upper body even when i have it packed full for 2 people and 2 dogs on a longer day hike. Separate compartment for a reservoir is great for easy fill ups and not having to empty your pack first.

Very nice to wear daypack.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great backpack which fulfills all my needs. It is light, has a good working hip-belt which takes the weight away from your back and shoulders. I really like the "swing arm" technology. Never had something comparable before and love it. Makes hiking and biking with a heavy backpack much more fun.

Very nice to wear daypack.

Best backpack i have ever owned.

This backpack has been put to use in northern new mexico for the past three months. If you pack lightly 3 days in the woods is more than doable. The suspension system is mind bending. It will not leave your back. I can climb low 5s with it on and it fits perfectly with a harness. My buddy tried mine on and bought one a week later. He now uses it for his harness, a couple of ropes, gear, and climbing shoes. The only thing that would make it better would be maybe 4L or 5L more space. As an added bonus mine still looks new.

Another reviewer said the pack was too small for rope and gear, but it worked for you? Do you think I could get a 70m rope and draws and stuff in there comfortably? Thanks!

You could probably get it in there but not comfortably. With a bit of work I can get my 60m and limited gear in but there is very little room for anything else. (Rain gear, first aid kit, extra food, usually get thrown in a buddy's pack.) If you want to be able to carry the 10 essentials and some gear comfortably I would go with a larger pack.

Awesome pack!

First of all the blue/torquise color is freakin awesome! And the pack itself is awesome. The black diamond sway system is awesome. The back frame and venting system is really comfortable. And the material is durable. I have had it for a few months now and it has no signs of wear. It isnt quite big enough for a rope and gear but i have fit a rope and 1 pair of shoes in it before. But usually i have a few pairs of shoes a chalk bucket a harness and a chalk bag and it fits fine. It would be an awesome day pack. Very very comfortable.
