Good upgrade for the Punisher

These are noticeably much more waterproof from the standard Punisher model. No secret here these are Gore tex. My only gripe is that the fingers and palm leather should be thicker construction. For the price they seem like this area of the glove wears out quickly.

    Perfect all-around ice glove

This is my go-to glove for ice climbing. I generally purchase 2-3 Punishers per year, since I always climb with a second pair of gloves to swap out at belays. Even in bitter conditions I find this glove is great for climbing and then I'll wear the BD Enforcer at the belay. Good dexterity, pre-formed curve, and now with a GoreTex waterproof membrane! I also wear these gloves under the BD Absolute Mittens at altitude.

Is the main difference between the Punisher and Punisher Pro simply the inclusion of Gore-tex? I have read that inner of the regular Punisher is simply sewn to the outer at a few points which results in some bunching when you put your hand in. Is this eliminated in the Pro version?

The GoreTex lining is the main difference but it is completely bonded to the glove, so it doesn't have the same slip factor as seen in the previous model Punishers. The bunching only occured in the previous model when your hands get sweaty and cling to the fleece lining, this is more an issue of selecting the wrong gloves for the job though. Check out the OR Alibi II gloves for a lighter, more dexterous glove for use in warmer/more technical conditions.
