Here's what others have to say...

So, I'm fairly new to climbing and quickly realizing that owning your own gear is the way to go. This harness seems like the perfect choice for me to start with. However, measurements wise, my waist puts me at a medium and my legs put me at a large. Any recommendations on which way I should buy?

Responded on

I would definitely fit the waist, so go with the medium. The legs should have some adjust-ability and work for you. If it does not you may need to bump up to a little pricier harness like the http://www.backcountry.com/black-diamond-lotus-harness-womens?ti=UExQIENhdDpDbGltYmluZyBIYXJuZXNzZXM6MToxMjpiY3NDYXQ4MTEwMDAyOTQ&skid=BLD3365-FIG-XS which offers more adjust-ability in the legs.

Great Harness- New to climbing

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've been climbing in the gym for a few months. I got this harness for my first outdoor climb. It was very comfortable and had everything a beginner could ask for. The harness didn't rub, but it still felt secure. I have a small waist so some of the harnesses I've used before have been loose even when fully tightened. I'm 5'8" and 126 lbs, and the small was a great fit!

Comfortable Harness

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I spend plenty of time, sitting in my harness, and this one never rubs me the wrong way. I have had this for a year, and the cushion is still very sufficient. I am 5'8 and weigh about 135. The small size is perfect. If I can answer any questions, feel free to contact me directly! Emily Jenson Expert Gearhead ejenson@backcountry.com 801.746.7587

Comfortable Harness
Utah is Awesome!

Utah is Awesome!

This harness can get you through some beautiful places with comfort and function while not breaking the bank. In Canyoneering, every piece of gear gets wrecked ...seriously. For the money, you don't feel so bad when you have to replace this amazing harness.

Also a great canyoneering harness

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Great harness for going up or down. Whether climbing or canyoneering, the Primrose is a great harness at a very reasonable price point. Can't see buying anything different for my wife on the next go around.

Comfortable, breathable, quickly and easily adjustable, well built.
