The Black Diamond Predator Backpack combines low weight, durability, and well-though-out features for big days in the alpine world. Burly 420D SilNylon material endures harsh days in the mountains, while a supportive Y-rod suspension system helps you carry the technical gear necessary for success. When it's time to pare down, strip the Predator Backpack of its suspension and drop its weight from 3lb 12oz to a low 2lb 6oz (40L size). PickPocket ice tool holders, a large crampon pouch, and a stowable helmet flap allow easy access to gear no matter how frozen your hands are. Back-panel access allows you get to your buried headlamp without unloading the entire bag. This Black Diamond pack is available in a 40L size for long day trips and a 50L size for lightweight overnight stays in the snowy world of the high mountains.

Excellent backpack for ice treks. Very convenient external crampons pocket, another pocket for the helmet. Easy way to attach 2 ice axes. Easy access to the inside of the backpack from the back of it (zip). Highly recommended.
