Good Draws

Six really is better than one. These draws offer the same durable quality BD is known for. They're super easy to clip, they're strong, and come at a great price for a 6-pack. I'm not very picky about weight, but what I do know is that I can take two packs up the wall without any annoyance or trouble. Hats off to Black Diamond, you've done it again!

GREAT ALL AROUND DRAWS

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These draws are great for all around climbing. The only drawback is the skinny dyneema dogbones. I've swapped all of them out for the beefer BD VARI-WIDTH DOGBONES as those are easeir to grab and don't flop around as much.

Best bang for your buck!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These quickdraws are a solid investment. They're going to hold up to whatever you throw at them. This is my second set and they work flawlessly at the local crag. I really appreciate the wire gate for easy clipping and side recognition. They are a bit heavier than some of the pricier draws BD offers, but for the price range, you can't go wrong with these.

Absolutely Perfect Draws

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

People saying that the wire gate biner's nose will hook on stuff are crazy. That's where the rope goes and a 5mm hook won't snag a rope! They clip smoothly for years and years, they are inexpensive, they are strong, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, they are gorgeous!

I've climbed on spirits and what not... You don't need to pay 25$ a draw. Pay 11-12$ for each of these beautiful son of a guns.

These are really a great deal. Clip so smooth. Definitely worth it! Also BD supports the Enormocast so that's awesome.

Solid Draws Built to Last

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Just checked my order history and I bought these things over 2 years ago. I kept telling myself these were cheap, beginner draws and that if I was gonna take climbing more seriously I'd upgrade them later. Never ended up doing that. Never needed to. Keylock bolt-side biners make clipping and cleaning bolts a breeze and I never really had any issue with snags on the rope-side. Plus it's nice to have a bit of a weight savings for longer approaches. Logged over 130 days of climbing in the past two years (with plenty of whippers and hangdogging) and these are showing little signs of needing to be replaced. Sure there are nicer draws to buy, but if you want a workhorse rack without breaking the bank, get these. Oh and two or three longer draws for those just-out-of-reach clips and wandering routes.

Bomber Set

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these to complete my sport rack, now I really only want to use these draw's. they feel smooth and safe. Totally worth the money for the look and feel of these draw's. The wire gate on the rope side really gives you the confidence when hanging on for dear life that you can send that project. They are a great draw and come highly recommended.

Great Pack!

Bought these as a gift with other accessories for someone getting back into climbing after taking time off. Perfect for starting out again and getting back in the groove of things. Great functionality and feel safe and sturdy.

Great Product

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Unless your picky about your draws, get these. The positron end goes on the bolt hangar, which is great because the keylock nose is snagless for easy on and off. The wiregate goes on your rope. Sure, the wiregate can snag, and its not a bent gate so some people complain that it is kinda chunky. Its not, its just a matter of technique. The nose rarely snags on something large diameter like your rope.

Cheap, but not my favorites

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These are some of the cheapest draws out there, especially if you get them on sale. I think still like the plain Positrons better, though

The Good:
--Typically the cheapest Black Diamond draws available
--Wiregate rope end makes distinguishing which ends gets the bolt hanger easy.
--Lighter (slightly) than Positron draws.
--Nose-less draw on the bolt end for ease in cleaning overhung routes

The Bad:
--Wiregate 'biner is not hooded, so it can still get hung up on things.
--Only one size available in quickpack form
--Not that much lighter than Positron draws.

I was raised to be picky about my 'biners, and I prefer hooded or noseless over non-hooded wiregates. These are perfectly safe, and as many have noted they are cheap, but when it comes time to replace the rope-end on these I will likely spring for Hoodwires or Oz biners.

Not for mice!

Not for mice!

Seriously, if you are a mouse, directions indicate that you may NOT use these (by pains of death).

Good value, great quickdraw

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These draws are solid. The clipping action is smooth, and these things are pretty light especially for the price. Most people don?t mention aesthetics when reviewing gear, but these do look nice.

I recommend these for aspiring sport climbers, and experienced alike.

not the lightest

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are not the lightest quickdraw but they are good. they feel very sturdy and I feel very safe using them, which I think is very important when you just start sport climbing.

Best Value

you can pay a couple bucks more per draw and save 10 grams per draw or maybe get smoother actions, but if your getting you rack od draws on a budget, this is the way to do it. key lock nose for easy cleaning, wire gate biner for the rope for easy clipping and no gate flutter, and cheap.

quality draws

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

BD quality. Get them at a good price and what's not to love?

Posiwire is super convenient for remembering which side is rope and which is wall. Durable.

pretty standard

There are definitely better deals out there. These quickdraws are pretty lightweight but pretty standard. The gate is smooth and I like that one carabiner is a wire gate and the other is not, to help distinguish which goes where during a climb. But overall nothing particularly special, but a brand you can trust fo sho... which actually means a lot to people you might climb with. get them on sale. (NOTE TO ALL: this comes from the budget of a broke college student) they're great draws, but you can get lighter ones for cheaper. I would recommend if you get them on sale.

Perfect Starter Pack

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Black Diamond Posiwire Pack is a great set of quickdraws to start out with as a sport climber. After advancing my rack a little further, I still commonly use these draws because of their easy clipping and durability. I recommend these to anyone looking to start up a sport rack.

Skimpy on price not quality

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Just like the description goes I bought these as my startup into sport climbing biners and I have had them for years. I have enjoyed their ease of use and they are comparable in quality to my petzl spirit draws but much cheaper.

If everything was so good...

I bought this set for 50 euros in Slovakia and I am very surprised. The`re just perfect. I would say they`re the best choice for this price.

Uber Draws

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

We've bashed 'em, thrashed 'em and trashed 'em. They have caught every fall (and there have been many). They are worth every penny. They are light (kind of), cheap and durable. Why would anyone in their right mind pay more for quick draws? Easy clipping on both ends. No gate flutter. Great for sport and trad. We will buy these again when we need more draws.
