The Black Diamond Patrol Mitts provide the durability for demanding days in the mountains and the insulation to fight off sub-zero temps. Ultra-durable Pittards goatskin shells give you bomber grip whether you plant a ski pole or swing an ice tool. Black Diamond concentrated the PrimaLoft insulation on the back of the hand to reduce bulk and increase feel in the palms and bolster overall warmth. Waterproof breathable BDry inserts ensure your hands are dry all day.

Bottom Line: For sub-zero temps when you need added feel and durability.

Mitts are the way to go

What can I say, I am a mitten man. The Patrol mitt keeps my hands warm and dry on the coldest days. They last forever and are surprisingly dexterous. I use the backcountry.com goat liner glove for touring and then put on the warm mitts for skiing and hangin.

I never thought I would like mittens but my mind has been changed. These are super warm and fit well in spite of feeling fairly thin and dextrous. The grip and feel is so good that using poles w/o straps is totally natural. They are plenty burly. Only beef - cuff is a little short to cover my watch and wrist closure on my coat without fussing with it a bit

Black Diamond Patrol Mitt

I like the mitts for their warmth to weight factor meaning that they are pretty warm for being fairly light weight. They fit well and are well designed for the most part. The only thing I don't like about them is that the cuff is short for those snowy in area or backcountry days so they ship snow between your wrist and your coat sleeve under those conditions.

Keeps your fingers warm on the coldest days.

These mitts are killer. If you get cold fingers like I do they're a must have. Plus with they're full leather palm they'll out last cheaper synthetic gloves.

Buy nice, or buy twice.

Super warm, Super tough

These mitts are bomb proof in construction, the leather palms are grippy as you could want. I have the Patrol Gloves too, and these are much toastier on a freezing Wasatch powder day, when riding my motorcycle in the sleet, or carrying some beers across the snow to a
Deer Valley hot tub.
