    Details

Ultralight, resistant to freezing, and easy to clip—get it all with the Black Diamond Neutrino Carabiner.

The Black Diamond Neutrino Carabiner brings you full-strength, easy-to-clip performance at an incredibly light weight of 1.3oz. Unlike other ultralight carabiners, the Neutrino has a large gate opening, so it won't feel like you're trying to clip into a keychain when you're totally gripped and Elvis leg is rocking your blue-suede climbing shoes. Because of its freeze-proof wire gate and ultralight design, the Black Diamond Neutrino hangs from trad, ice, and alpine racks the world over.

    great for the price

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

these biners are good, super simple. Not the lightest or easiest to clip but still better than many other carabiners i have dealt with. The colors complement BD C4 cams perfectly which is a plus.

    OG Biner

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These carabiners are popular for a reason, they are light weight, strong, sharp looking, and super versatile. I use them mainly for keeping my gear neatly packed together and not so much climbing related things, but they get the job done and are super affordable.

    Love these!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have used this Carabiner in a number of situations, including using them for my trad rack, alpine draws and for bailing. They are an amazing work horse of a carabiner and I will continue to buy them for just about everything I need a wire gate for.

    Love these!

    Great for racking up

I always use the neutrinos to rack up my camalots, and I do personally find it handy to match the colors of the biners to the cams. Just makes it that much easier to quickly pick out the right size from a crowded gear loop. You might also consider the HoodWire version though, if you've got a couple extra bucks to dedicate to the cause.

      Perfect!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this everything after seeing people at work all carry one around their waist to hold their keys. I bought the purple one and its looks awesome in person. Very vibrant!.

      Great quality with great color!

      INTRO:

I have never really bought into these kind of locking biners because I pictured them looking pretty beat up as the colored coating gets scratched away.

      QUALITY:

I was actually pleasantly surprised with the quality of the color coating of these caribiners!

I love the strength you can feel behind the swinging locking mechanism. There is just that small detail that makes you feel confident in the product, when you feel that little push back when you are connecting the caribiner to things.

      VERSATILITY:

I also like to use these as key chain to keep my keys with me on hikes. (Ever since I lost my keys out on an adventure in the wild wild world, I have enjoyed using caribiners to keep my keys LITERALLY on me.)

I have also used this to keep an empty water bottle on the out side of my day pack so that I do not need to make room in my pack for an empty bottle.

I honestly just love having random things that serve multiple functions, so you can be creative with this caribiner and get many uses!

      OVERVIEW:

This is the perfect size cabiner that can be used for multiple things! Great quality with great color!

      Great quality with great color!

      great for everything

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Maybe not everything, but everything you don't need a locking biner for. I am a new climber and bought these to go with the some extendable quick draws I recently purchased. During the winter I've been using them to carry my keys around, holding my chalk bag at the gym,and for the dog's leash. Fun perk of this biner: you can color coordinate with your trad rack!

      Good carabiner

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Use these mainly as carbainers for the slings of my cams. They come in a bunch of different colors so you can match it to the cams which is cool. Other than that they are light weight, strong and have held up well. Not much else to say about a carabiner...

      Good for racking

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Neutrino is my second choice racking biner. I prefer the Camp 22, since it is a little smaller and a little lighter, but both of these do a good job and the colors are close enough that either can work for color matching to your cams.

      Hammock biners!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought two of these so they could work with my new ENO hammock I just picked up. I love that they are light-weight and very durable. Obviously, if they were meant for climbing, they will hold up a hammock with no problem.

Solid purchase at a great price!!

      BD Neutrino

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Simple design, easy on the wallet, safe and strong. BD made a good biner that has become a standard. Use on your cams , put on alpine draws, bring up 30 on big walls.. they're super solid!

      BD Neutrino

      Great biners

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are no problem carabiners for anything you need. You just clip it and it stays. I bought one of each color individually because at the time it was chaper doing it that way. I got matching colors to go with my BD Camalot set.

So I just bought a ton of these to rack...

So I just bought a ton of these to rack my c4s and use as trad draws. Theres a descent price diff between these and the hotwires, whats the reason? should I have gone w hotwires for my draws?

The reason Hotwires are more expensive is that they are hot forged and therefore more labor intensive to make. The end result is a carabiner with an I-Beam shape, and a larger size and gate opening, yet the same weight. If you have the money, the following draws would all be upgrades: (Gear/Rope) Hoodwire/Hotwire, Nitron/Hotwire, Oz/Hotwire.

That said, Neutrinos are great carabiners in general, and for racking, I think you made the right call. The color coding is convenient, and I actually prefer a smaller carabiner for racking, if only for the way they sit compactly on my gear loops. They're still pretty light, and very functional.

Ok. This seems like this is the best place for help. I need a carabiner that does not use a screw, holds at least 120 lbs, and has around a 2.5 inches in width
