Great pad, easy to carry
The pad straps together very well for easy carrying. Seems to be pretty durable too

Total Junk
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Weekly boulderer. Got a decent deal on this pad and sprung for it. Thank goodness I didn't pay the absurd full price. It is good for only one thing: being big, and even that is often a huge hassle. Hiking sucks. It catches on everything and the hip belt and shoulder straps are very uncomfortable. The shoulder straps loosen as you walk.... are you kidding me BD? The hinge feels flimsy. It is very difficult to carry other pads with it. Gear falls out the bottom when hiking because the closure mechanism manages to be both tedious and ineffective. This pad is the absolute bare minimum. Lots of foam but NO quality of life innovations. The size isn't worth the money. I'd rather buy two other pads.

Awesome!
I’ve loved this crash pad. It’s big enough that you don’t need multiple on most boulders, but still comfortable to carry. They foam makes a fairly soft landing compared to some of my other pads as well

Great Crash Pad
This is aptly named! If you need a large thick crash pad, this is the one for you! Haven't gotten a chance to use it much yet, but the material and workmanship, like all BD products are top notch!

The floppiest Mondo yet
Do not recommend. My third Mondo and probably last. Sure, BD improved the buckles and hip belt from the previous version (which were by far the worst buckles of any crash pad on the market), but the pad cover materials seem looser and floppier than ever. I don't know if it's tolerances on manufacturing or materials, but either way results in horrendous bouncing against your back when walking. Mine is brand new, and it's only going to get worse. Much worse than my previous two. I've always gone with Mondos for the foam and large size, but the quality of the foam doesn't matter if you can't even stand carrying the pad.

Awesome
Love my crash pad! It is one heavy beast though, couples with a second pad it turns into a good 40lbs. Thighs of steel are in my future!

Big but horrible design.
The only thing that’s nice about this pad is it’s size. The outer layer of fabric on the strap side is lose and not sewn to the foam at all and this cause the pad to constantly flop away from your back as your walking. The handles on the side of the pad are so long you can’t lift it off the ground (maybe of your extremely tall you can..) Also the the hip strap is very uncomfortable and is unstable. It defeats the purpose. I like Black Dimond but they seemed to fail on all simply design features for a crash pad.

Great pad
When looking for a large bouldering pad the Mondo was my first choice. This lad give your the security you need when you're trying those high balls. My buddies love to hang on and makes a perfect couch in the Apartment. Great gear, by great people.
