Used this harness for cragging all last summer with no complaints, comfy, dependable, functional. But this fall while getting spat off a .12 up in the park the right leg loop adjuster snapped. The harness is still usable, but as you can imagine is uncomfortable in certain spots since one of the leg loops will not stay tight. A buddy's Momentum SA harness did the same thing shortly after.
In conclusion, look at the mileage you currently maintain or aspire to achieve, and if it surpasses mostly gym nights with an outdoor lead every once in a blue moon: spring for a petzl or camp harness, or even one of the higher end BD boys (Aspect/Ozone)

If you are looking for your first harness or a good all around harness look no further. Perfect for gym or sport climbing, I've even used mine canyoneering with good results.
Good harness, great price

I have only one harness for ice, trad, and sport, and this is it. Great all day comfort. I appreciate the adjustable legs for transitioning from winter to summer layers. Busted a gear loop on the old style of this harness (all plastic), but the new plastic wrapped cord seems way more solid. Still prefer the traditional buckle to the speed. Holds all the gear, easy on, easy off.
Cheap, good gym harness

It's a good harness for gym top rope. If you're on a budget, like BD products, and mostly train indoors on top rope, this is your baby. A step up from rentals, great construction, but nothing to take on an outdoor project.
Great Harness!!

I bought the large, my waist size is between 32-34, I am about 185 lbs. 6'0". It works, although I have to tighten all the straps. I think a medium may have been a better choice. Other than this, no complaints whatsoever.

For the price, you can't beat this harness. The gear loops are covered so that means they will last way longer than exposed fabric gear loops. It's comfortable and fits very well. Get it if you're a beginner and looking for a solid harness.

This is a comfortable harness for all types of climbing. It's super adjustable and I keep it in my bag for others to use since it will fit a wide range of peeps.

The harness is not bad, especially considering it's low price. It does everything a harness needs to do, and that's about it. It's easy to adjust the leg loops, and the gear loops are roomy and easy to hang draws from. It's not particularly comfortable to hang around in or take long falls in, but it's good enough for most of the climbing I do.

I purchased this harness about 2 months ago and so far the thing has never let me down. The gear loops are nice and big and the padding is really good for a harness with this price. I wouldn't recommend this harness for any mutipitch climbs just because of the fact that there are way better ones with way more padding. The only reason I gave this harness a 4 out of 5 stars is because you have to double back the harness when your getting ready, however for someone who is just getting started or wants an extra harness for their friend it's a good buy!

This is the first harness I have bought, and I have yet to have a single complaint or problem with it. It is very comfortable and easy to tighten. For the price this is an excellent buy.
Light, comfy, strong.

This is a great general purpose harness. I'm 6'0, 210lbs with a 36" waist and have the XL size. The waist cinches all the way down on me in summer, and has plenty of room to accommodate winter layers. The gear loops have room for way more gear than I carry, but for now I'm only top roping and alpining.
I can hang and swing like a monkey all day long in it, and not be uncomfortable. Believe me, that's just what I did to test it when I first got it.

Our daughter has a Momentum AL harness and loved it, so when it came time to replace our harnesses for canyoneering, I followed her recommendation and bought this harness for both myself and my husband. Just used them on a trip and they didn't disappoint us. It was comfortable to repel and walk in.
2008 year model was much better

The previous model (2008 BD Momentum AL) was a true all-arounder. You can put the 2008 Momentum AL on and off easily w/out need to take off crampons. You can put it on and off w/out need to move your feet. You can gym climb or move outdoors and climb some trad or sport multipitches with it. Alpine climbs, ice climbs, mixed climbs - whatever you want. It was simple and it was great.
The new model has one-piece leg loops so you need to take off your crampons to take it on and off. And you need to step into it to put it on - an awkward and tricky sometimes.
It's still a good comfy harness for gym and outdoors rock climbing. But it lost a versatility of the 2008 year model.
Comfortable

The main thing I sought was comfort not while climbing, but while walking. I use this harness for descents only as I'm not really a climber. So, while I'm hiking around, I don't even notice I'm wearing it. Cinch up when I come across a vertical, loosen when down and keep walking! Very comfortable and very light and very strong.

I have the older version of this harness and from seeing the updates it has only gotten better. This was my first harness 4 years ago and I still use it from time to time. If you are starting out climbing I would highly recommend this for the price and quality. It works great for the gym, top roping outdoors, and also venturing into your first sports and trad climbs. It just works well all around for a person exploring the sport. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because there is much better harness I feel for specific types of climbing. However, I have recommended this harness to all my friends who are just getting into the sport, and they love it. So if you're looking for that first harness, I don't think you will be disappointed with this workhorse.
