Black Diamond Momentum AL Climbing Harness - 2007 BCS

I bought this harness for my indoor climbing and it's a great harness. Perfect for the beginner to the expert. Comfortable and extremely secure feeling. Lots of climbing in it already and very pleased! Great value for the price!

This harness is very comfortable and has a nice fit, but the saddle shape tends to cause it to dig into my kidneys whenever I'm caught on a fall... tends to get sore after a couple of tumbles, but catches me fine every time.

I am very pleased. this harness is all around what I was looking for in every way.

this is my first harness so i don't have anything to compare it to. it is really comfortable though. easy on and off, easy to use and it feels solid. it feels like a decent bang for your buck.

I finally upgraded my old harness and absolutely love the new Momentum AL.

This Harness is GREAT. My friend and I go rock climbing a lot (sadly, its all indoors where I live) and this harness works wonderful for it. Its comfortable, you can clip everything to it, and when he decides to let me drop about 25 feet before yanking me to a halt, it doesn't hurt a bit (unlike some harnesses)!!!

Works great. Looks good. Holds well. Fits well.

I work at a climbing wall and had to use those "seat-belt" harnesses for the longest time...now that I have this harness..it's like im floating on a cloud, even when someone takes a nasty fall!

This is my first harness and it feels way better than the one I borrowed from the YMCA. I'll be taking it outside thanksgiving weekend and would like to update this review.

I picked this harness up based strictly on price, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and comfort it offers. I have two issues with it however, one is that the gear loops are a bit on the small side, so if you climb long routes and like to rack on your harness, it gets pretty crowded. The second being that the little webbing strip that tightens up the rope guide ALWAYS slips and loosens. I'm picky though. Great beginner or second harness.

This is a great harness for beginners who don't want to spend a lot. It is very comfortable, more so than some expensive ones.

I purchased the older model (non-AL) version of this harness to wear as a climbing harness for sailing. It was easy to put on and adjust. I was up the mast 5 minutes after I had the thing on, and it is as comfortable as any cloth chair I have used before. It worked great and was non-intrusive and comfortable enough to wear all day on the boat in case I needed to quickly go up again. The adjustments are simple and great for colder weather when worn on top of gear.

The lighter weight (14.8 oz as opposed to 16 oz) can only be an improvement.

Thank you for the harness, it sure did help me out a lot when I was up in that tree. It made me feel a lot safer up there. I wouldn’t have gotten up that tree without it. It was real easy getting in and out of harness. Great equipment, thanks a lot.

I have used Black Diamond products for a long time now and I have to say the Momentum AL is one of the most comfortable harnesses amongst all the black diamond harnesses. Its adjustable leg loops make it tight and comfy and the gear loops don't drag you down on sport routes. Thumbs up on the Momentum AL.

All around excellent product. Can be used at all levels of rock climbing. A lot more comfortable than those cheap harnesses.

I purchased this to anchor myself to the trees in my backyard while I'm trimming them. It is a very comfortable harness. I particularly like the extra tool loops on the sides for extra carabiners.

Extremely comfortable. First Black Diamond harness i've had but I think i'll stick with them. Did i mention it was snug and comfortable?

The harness met my expectations. It is pretty comfortable and seems to be very durable. My one complaint is that the padded straps are a little warm and tend to hold in body heat.

Harness is well-padded with easy to adjust thigh and waist buckles (even with gloves on). Stayed warm and it packs down easy. Good placement of gear loops. Sturdy and comfortable in cold temps.

I love the Momentum AL climbing harness. In my opinion I couldn't of bought a better harness for the price. The harness is very comfortable and works great for what I use it for.

I'm a fairly new climber. My buddy and I spent a lot of time researching gear to buy as we had only used others before. This harness is very comfortable and feels secure, it also provided plenty of clipping locations. I highly recommend the Adjustable Leg (AL) model as everyone has different body types, and you don't want to feel loose 60' up! This is a great harness at a reasonable price.

I bought one of these a year ago and work at a tower so I end up wearing it all day and it's still comfortable. And it adjusts to fit over any kind of clothes you have to wear.

I had back surgery and have the lower half of my back fused and so i was worried about how a harness would effect it. This has a nice wide back on it and it has good cushioning and it has been GREAT for me. Great to find a good harness that works well with my back so that i can be back on the rocks. It is easy to put on and off. buy it you will love it! I see a TON of people out on the rocks with this harness.

This Momentum AL harness is the most comfortable one I have ever owned.

This is a good harness. If you plan on taking other people climbing who don't have their own harness, this is a good one to get. Just be sure to get the size that will fit most of your friends. It is easily adjustable and you get the quality of Black Diamond.
