Black Diamond Lunar Headlamp - 2005 BCS

I use this light almost daily in attics as a Nuisance Wildlife Controller. The fit is great. By having the batteries on the back the weight is more evenly distributed. This was a feature that originally interested me in this product. Unfortunately, the beam is not as bright as I would like it to be. I had a tough time on this site determining what bulb is the brightest. I know LED bulbs are basically useless for my situation since the light is so soft. I will try to see if I can find a brighter bulb replacement. Battery life is not an issue since I use rechargables.

I use my headlamp for around the house duties in the dark that are best done with two hands: grilling, carrying things into storage, screwing light bulbs, etc.
I was also very satisfied with the customer service.

This light is just okay by me. I ended up sending it back because it was just not what I was looking for. It is not very bright, I wasn’t crazy about the pack in the back or the cable running along the side. It would be good for emergencies, but not hiking.

I bought my Lunar headlamp almost a month ago, but its first use was the last weekend. I did caving with my friends in Mexico, and it never betrayed me! It has very good light, and I spent about 7 hours in the cave with no change of batteries! You must buy it, it's very cheap, but very useful!

The Black Diamond Headlamp unit is light, fits snug, and lights up anything you will want to see!

Great choice for those setting up a tent in the dark or spelunking a deep cave.

There's nothing better than this headlamp, just looking the price!! Very useful in caves and camping! Something I didn't like is the burn time, just 6 to 7 hours, but the light is better than a LED lamp.

I can hardly believe you can get a headlamp from Black Diamond for this price. I was a little leery buying a headlamp this inexpensive but with a brand like Black Diamond how can you loose? You can’t. I have used this headlamp in the cold and in very tight situations. The quality makes me forget how inexpensive it was.

This lamp it's small, functional and reasonable price. Easy to put everywhere. Good light.

I have not used the lamp yet in real outdoor conditions (except to put Gas line antifreeze into my Pathfinder in the dark and some assorted evening winterizing of my house)but I sure plan to over Holiday break. I will be relying on this lamp to light the snowshoe and ski tracks on the way back to the Tahoe that will make the morning before when we venture into Paradice Ontario Cananda to do some new ice routing and to climb a few classics as well.

Comfortable to wear, gives sufficient light, batteries last for 4-5 hours.
