The Induction splits the difference between a hardshell and a softshell, with a super-flexible and breathable Windstopper 3L membrane that's hooked up with fully taped seams and a DWR coating for water resistance that most other softshells can only dream about. Since the Induction's designed for high-intensity alpine activities like ski mountaineering, alpine climbing, and ice climbing, it has a streamlined fit with articulated knees, a gusseted crotch, and harness-compatible belt, and is snow-proofed by the addition of drawcord cuffs with internal elastic gaiters and boot hooks. Its 3/4-length zippers let you cool down and slide your pants on and off over your boots, while the integrated Recco reflector boosts your avalanche preparedness.
