I agree with others that its pretty hard at first. Nice and light and no plastic buckles to break. I would like a softer outside material for wiping off shoes but that's a small complaint.

I've taken falls from 25 feet onto this and didn't even role an ankle. The foam does get smushed up after a lot of use. I've slept on it.

Crash pat works great the straps are excellent for moving the pad around. Has a good sized surface area as well. The foam inside is also really nice it is very stiff when you first get the pad though and needs some breaking in. My friend has one that she uses for her Trapeze class and loves it.

At first I thought this pad was a little hard... but it broke in more and more, and now it's awesome. Pretty rigid so it will cushion you on rough surfaces and the 600D polyester is SUPER DURABLE. I've have mine for a few years, throwing it onto sharp rocks and in the mud and it's stood up great so far.

On first thought this pad looked a little thin even for an impact pad but it performs fantastic. Theres a waist strap for comfortable carrying on your back and the bottom strap helps keep anything you have inside from falling out. Construction wise it seems as durable as any other pad only time will tell. Absorbs falls very well, even a 15ish ft unexpected one that I pretty much landed on my back, knocked the wind out but saved my butt, kudos to my spotter as well on that.

Can you stuff a backpack in this pad without it falling out?

Securely? Yes. Guaranteed not to fall out? No. There is the one strap on the bottom to tighten down the pad, but it does not guarantee that things won't fall out.

As said its not a guaranty but if you pack it right it should stay in, small things in climbing shoes, clipped to harness stayed in for a 30 minute hike to my last boulder.
