A blend of European-bred Mohair and standard nylon fibers gives the Black Diamond GlideLite Mixed STS Skins better glide, lower bulk, and a suppler feel. The STS design features Black Diamond’s adjustable elastic tail clip to fit multiple skis, and a reversible tip loop. Usually only available to the Euro market, we scored these direct from BD…and we’re stoked.

Bottom Line: Mo’ is betta.

they would work, however you would get better coverage and therefor better adhesion on climbing if you go bigger. that said i just picked these up for my Rossi Scratch BC that have a 128 tip. i would say Go for it. this is a great deal.

i recently did a tour using the 95mm G3 alpinist skins on my Fatypus Dsenders(144-112-132, 184s). They were the only skins i could use and they surprised me working great. Will these work even better even though it will still leave some base exposed?

More skin surface means you will have better grip touring on steeper slopes!

good, but not as good as glidelite

I bought a pair of these last winter and put about 10 days on em. They perform well, similar in terms of bite on new snow to ascensions or glidelites, but better in glide. I would recommend the glidelites over these because the bite of these in hard snow (like stiff crust or recrystallized) was not quite as good, and both days I used them when it was a bit wet I ended up with massive snow buildup (skins were treated with wax, and compared to others with glidelites I was by far the worst off). Great for flatter tours where glide is key, but save some coin and get the glidelites if you want a more versatile skin

Actually that is a sick Backcountry set-up!
It's obvious that you care more about Down than up. For the Kuro's I'd run the fattest skin and buy some fat tips...

Like Ben said, it's longer than you need. This particular one is 194cm.

One length only, and it is WAY longer than any ski you might possibly own. The only Black Diamond skins that come in specific lengths are the Customs, which are pre-trimmed to fit particular Black Diamond skis. All other skins come in a single (very long) length that you trim to fit your boards.

Keep checking back, but I think it is unlikely that they will be getting any more in before next season.
