This pack is great for quick hikes when you don't need tons and it's pretty light too! This pack has a one-up on the RPM because it has classic compression straps that are really great when you're not carrying a full load, HOWEVER the RPM is HALF the weight but only 6L less in capacity and the RPM has 2 ice axe loops for those for are into the ice-climbing. BUT the demon has a much better waist-belt. BOTTOM LINE.. Demon is great if you can afford the weight and need extra capacity BUT if you're an ultra-lighter... go with the RPM... it's the minimalists' dream.

The no-frills design on this pack couple with super burly material to create a good climbing workhorse. I have no concerns when chimneying, bushwacking, or butt-sliding down slabs in the Demon and the hike in is comfortable due to a well designed suspension and full hipbelt. The zippers are bomb-proof--no blowing out seams and sending your gear for an unplanned flight. It would be nice to easily throw a rope over the lid, but I guess this can be achieved with the tiny lashing straps (see sweet MS Paint picture below). All in all, I expect this pack to nobly suffer through years of abuse with no problem.

I've come to the conclusion that there is no pack that does it all and my backpack collection is starting to resemble my wife's purse collection. With most of my packs designed for fast/light pursuits, I needed a rockclimbing bag that could hold up to the extra weight and abuse. This is a bomber bag with the perfect amount of space for a day at the crag. It fits everything I need INSIDE (60m rope, 50m webbing, harness, helmet, shoes, quickdraws, chalkbag, lunch, first aid kit, etc). If I run some cord through the loops on the lid and strap my rope to the outside, it opens up some space for my lightweight sleeping bag and bivy. I'm very confident that the material and build will hold up for a long time.

I have taken this bag on many trips so far and have been quite pleased. I ran some small rope through the 4 small eyelets and used that to tie my rope to the pack. I have used both the 2L and the 3L w/ insulating pack, The 2L fits perfect, but the 3L with the insulation pack it is a bit tight. All in all, I think I would recommend this pack.

This pack is super comfortable, carries more than enough, works great with my 100oz camelbak and overall just rocks.

This pack has plenty of room for a day's worth of climbing gear and other necessities. I have a 3 liter camelbak and it fits fine, however, it is a little tall for the attachment loop. The zipper is good and sturdy and the nylon seems pretty tough.

I use this pack to haul my climbing gear and other goodies. Works like a charm!

This is a great pack for many reasons. I bought it because it is very light yet also has a stiff back to keep structure to you and the bag. Also it has a nice opening where you can swing it around and open it away from you instead of towards you. It is very minimalist as it has 3 small pockets, the main compartment, camelbak pocket and 2 compressor chords on each side.

Perfect bag to have around the town when I have a couple of things to do (ie gym, work, climbing, whatever). Love it! Exactly what I was looking for.
