Black Diamond Camo Spot Headlamp - 2007 BCS

I had a Tikkaplus before getting this light and I got to say this is way better! The constructions looks cheaper (probably why Petzl gives a 3 year warranty and BD only one year) and I have found that the switch can be actually kind of hard to operate when my hands where numb from cold.
That being said, I leave my light on the side pocket of my backpack (for easy access), and this light has already survived several mult pitch trad climb. And the confidence that I will be able to see far and close if needed is great!

I would recommend this light over the tickaplus and tickaplus XP anytime. Pretty much the same weight and volume but much better performance.

Great headlamp. After using the Gizmo for about a year, it got soaked and it sketched out on me a couple of time when I really needed it getting back to camp...so I did some research and went with the Spot. I've never been happier with a headlamp. The multiple beam functions are great. I've loved the long range 1-watt bulb when needing range, but being able to switch to the 3 LEDs has been great for around camp for close range use. I recommend this piece to anyone who wants versatility because they don't know where they might end up. The camo is an added bonus worth the change, if you’re into that sorta thing.
