Kick your shoes on, and relax.

- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
I received my Arizonas in the mail last week, so I have some initial thoughts after a week of use:
COMFORT: The footbed reminds me of a chaco in that there's high arch support, but this has a raised toe bar that helps keep your foot from sliding back and forth as your toes can grip this plateau; moreover, the heel cup is much more noticeably snug around my heel than the footbed on a chaco. The straps allow you to adjust the tension of the sandal on your foot and the tightest setting is a snug fit on my foot -- my feet are skinny, I presume.
SIZE: I normally wear a 12 or 13 shoe, so I ordered a 45, which falls between a 12-12.5. I'm happy with the size although my toes touch the front rim when my feet are overly inserted into the sandal. I'm sure I'll get use to this after a bit more use though.
OVERALL: It's lightweight, comfy, and looks much nicer on a semi-casual night out than my chacos.
A while back I wrote a review about a Rainbow flip flop that said it was the most comfortable sandle out there once you had broken them in. I have to retract that claim. These Birkenstocks are the most comfortable sandle I have ever experienced. The only difference is I didn't need to go through the pain of breaking them in before they got that way. From day 1 they were a dream.
So Simple but so Great
I love these sandals. They're so simple and look great. Super comfortable so you can take them for walks but also look good enough to take out at night in the summer.
What can I say? Old school is back. Comfortable as I remember it 15 years ago. Highly recommended them and with white socks if you want to really kick it old school.
