There front has a curved seem and so there are a two small cut outs so that the suit comes slightly in on the sides right above the bottoms. It still covers the majority of your stomach, just slightly shows the sides.

Because there is no back to this swim suit. It is really cute and adjustable, but it's basically a completely open back which I didn't realize from the description or the photos. Still a great suit, fits exactly like the sizing chart.

Sort of. The suit top is adjustable so you can tighten it to stay tight, but there is no back to the swim suit, it is a basically a bikini back with a one piece front. Didn't catch that in the description.
