Construct your family's ultimate base-camp empire around the six-person Big Agnes Wolf Mountain Tent. Tall enough to allow a six-footer to stand inside, this humongous three-season tent fits large families, a king-sized air mattress, or six adults comfortably while its rain-shedding fly and breathable mesh walls keep the interior conditions ideal.

  • Polyurethane-coated floor and fly help rain bead off instead of soaking you and your gear
  • Floor and fly seams are taped without using solvents (PVC or VOC) for a cleaner environment
  • All Big Agnes tents feature poles made with DAC's Green Anodizing process, which eliminates the chemical polishing stage, reduces the need for hazardous chemicals, and recycles water throughout the rinsing process
  • Symmetrical design with DAC aluminum poles, press-fit connectors, hubs, and clips are easy to assemble day or night, rain or shine
  • Breathable mesh and ripstop polyester walls fight condensation, and reflective guy lines prevent injuries at night
  • Fast Fly pitching option lets you carry just the poles, fly, and footprint (sold separately) for a lighter-weight (14lb 9oz) package that's suitable for mild climates
  • Vestibules can be zipped shut at night or during showers, but entry flaps also roll up to use the space as a shaded area
  • Mesh storage pockets hold your headlamp and a map after you and your companions finish planning the next day's driving or hiking schedule
  • Carry bag includes a handle and shoulder strap for short treks to the campsite

Awesome tent for a family of five

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I just purchased this tent because I'm working on getting my wife back into tent camping. We have three young girls so five total in the family. The Wolf Mountain is awesome in terms of quality and features. All the pockets are great, craftsmanship is A+, and being a taller guy, the height rocks (though at 6'4" I still have to crouch a little). The stuff sack is nice and you don't have to work too hard at folding everything up. I just gather it up in my arms and kind of roll it all together and it fits in the carrying pouch just fine. I was also impressed with the coating on the fly--very thick. We had it out last weekend and got sprinkled on in the morning and the inside was perfectly dry. The reflecting guy lines are pretty cool at night, too. The pole structure is nice and easy and I'm able to set the tent up myself. It's a little nerve wracking with how much pressure gets put on the poles before you have it all together, but it's doable. One thing I did notice is that we could only fit five mats/sleeping pads side by side in the tent. That leaves about a foot walking space if you put the mats all the way up to one side, so I'd have trouble calling this a 6 man. If you all sleep without pads, then yes, 6 would fit shoulder to shoulder. But for our family, it seems just right.
